Well, I decided to give Shibuya 428 a quick look just to get a feel for what it's like. This presentation is something else. Never seen anything quite like this in a visual novel. I got railroaded into a bad ending with the tutorial, but I guess it's done with a purpose to show me how my choices can change things around.

There are a lot of bad ends and some of them are pretty funny

nope

Sepith exchange rate stays the same the whole game. You could always check out the pawn shop's quartz exchange sections and see if anything there appeals to you to dump the extra sepith.

Sepith Mass is the real "exchange" currency here and while the value of it never goes up, enemies drop more of it over time. Granted, Sky had both go up over time but =/

That last trial day is pretty much perfect. Also, they added a neat little touch in the PS4 port to reveal 1-5 after you beat this case. That was cool.

Chapter 4 complete with 73 AP and another A grade

So I guess these are the main members of the Imperial Liberation Front, as they're calling themselves, although we only know the actual name of one so far. I'm starting to think they aren't related to Ouroboros, at least not directly. Ouroboros might be using them in some way to further their own goals though, perhaps.

Also, I'm kind of disappointed the battle against C just...ended after a few turns. I was holding up pretty well!

Well, I finished the 10:00 block in 428: Shibuya Scramble. This is a strange game, to say the least, but the concept is certainly interesting enough to keep you invested in what's going to happen next.

Max was 79. Guessing it was all on the last day of Heimdallr. While you're on patrol at the start of the day (before the Royal Family goes off in their limos) there's a hidden quest from talking to a guy in front of the department store on Vainqueur Street. It's a briefcase mix-up quest so you go around looking for the other guy. That's 4 AP. My guess for the remaining 2 AP is a nasty one. So, when you went to Mater Park (and Patrick tries to make everyone jealous about meeting Alfin) Rean and Fie make comments to the effect of "Is the security here really perfect?" If you enter Mater Park from the Underground Passage from the Hotel from Day 1 of Heimdallr the royal guard catches you and the group explains about the passage and they thank you and assign some guards there.

Yeah, that's a weird one because it definitely feels like you can win it but the game just shuts you down after a few turns (same as the Sara fight you can't NG+ cheese it, C will just refuse to die)

Oh! Hmm, then the Thors Hidden Sidequest was after the Schoolhouse exploration if you talk to the Janitor by the incinerator (which is where the path around the school opens into the field where the horse and lacrosse clubs are) he finds a calligraphy brush and since he doesn't know who it belongs to is considering tossing it, Rean volunteers to find the owner who turns out to be the principal (who pops back in his office when you take this quest).

It's implied that the principal knew/is friends with Yun Ka-Fai and that's where he picked up calligraphy as a habit.

If you got that quest too then it's got to be a combo of missing bonus points on somethings like winning the swimming minigames both times you race (which would add up to 4) or the practical exam conditions/that one sidequest fight with Alan.

Also finished DGS2. Final case reminded me a lot of 4-4/4-0. Had some great moments, but man it was just painfully bad in so many ways.

Well, you just have to be thorough, which will probably involve some save scumming during the trial because one or two only pop up during a "wrong evidence" present during the trial.

Well, save scumming gets a little annoying after a while, so I won't do it every time I play, although the port has made it a little simpler.

Also, Sara recruited me for a top secret swimming lesson for the girls. Now it's time to explore the old schoolhouse again, and I have to take the new members with me this time. Also, I keep finding myself inclined to take the girls with me whenever I have a choice. I always end up with Laura and Emma in my party some way or the other. I've got Fie with me this time, too.

i don't think your spoiler is true? but i played it a while ago.

anyways my general opinion, in short, is (no spoilers but vague thoughts) only case 3 is really good. case 4/5 are a mess that ruins characters and makes no sense. as a whole, the game basically spits on all the plot twists and foreshadowing from the first game.

Whew, I think she finally beat Chain of Memories, although she got stuck on the Ansem fight at the end for a little while. She still proclaims her hatred for this game even as she has now completed it.

That's what I told her. She can now break the chain of her memories and move on to good games now. She probably won't have time to start KH2 for a while though.

That being said, she did admit to enjoying the story. She said she would probably say Riku is her favorite character so far. She's enjoyed his character arc through the first two games compared to Sora, who's a pretty basic hero thus far.

She was super confused about what exactly the Organization was (She was wondering if Riku was a part of it, too), but that's pretty understandable at this point.
