The stream is still going for another 3 hours! They've got a pro player exbibition, plus a show floor that apparently has a bunch of cool stuff on it.

This event was for the press and invitees as much as it was for the fans watching. They decided to do something cool for their celebrity fans and content creators instead of just releasing a 5 minute trailer.

And that's cool, but why aren't fans that are watching allowed to be disappointed that they focused more on the event/press aspect than actually revealing much of the game?

I mean, the game goes gold in like... 2 months? Having so little revealed about it is weird.

We're saying "For a roster that has atleast 25 characters and is three months from release, we would have liked to see more than 5 revealed and pretty much any other information"

Understandable. I don't disagree from a fan's perspective, but I don't think any amount of reveals would make everyone happy. For everyone like the people here who would have appreciated 5 more reveals, there are just as many people who would have said, "wow, only 12 reveals, disappointing". The developer is never going to win here.

The fact that it's almost out makes it matter even less to me. Who cares if I only seen 7 characters when I'm a few months away from having them all? No one at this point is making decisions based on the number of reveals.

Ehhhh. Skarlet's second fatality is kinda weak. Honestly, I'm not feeling Skarlet much at all now. I think her character was much cooler in MK9. I was hoping her second fatality would have something to do with her bathing in her opponent's blood or at least loving it, but they both don't seem to have anything to do with that.

I get that a lot has changed in 8 years in terms of the social landscape, but I think Skarlet could have retained a little more than she has in this game. She barely seems like the same character.

Is X's story as bad as I've seen people saying? It's on sale on Steam again- 9 for the XL pack. I enjoy MK9 and the Injustice series, and would like more of the same, but I've heard the plot is awful. All I know about it, aside from the timeskip/new characters, is that it involves Shinnok, and that Liu Kang is an evil zombie now?.

I think MKX's story isn't as good at MK9's, but it's still fun and interesting. If you like Mortal Kombat and the characters in the universe, it's worth checking out.

- No crossplay, even though they want it (likely Sony being butts)

It has been Konfirmed that Cassie Cage's weird face will be fixed and altered until it looks better, and outside of dev confirmation, people have shown various faces through development time of other characters in Injustice 2 such as weird face Supergirl.

There will be a Kombat Kast on January 30. I assume they will just be something like a Nintendo Direct where they show off the game more.

Kabal is konfirmed to be on this, for any Kabal fans out there.

Anyone else never been a Kabal fan? I think he has a lot of cool stuff like hook swords, but I've always thought his design sucks.

Kabal is a lot like Baraka; a lot of people like them and no one that's a serious person is ever sure why. Kabal was replaced by Mavado, a much more unique and interesting character, but people wouldn't have it because MK fans are hung up in the 90's forever. Baraka meanwhile is just turbo fodder for story mode. I can't believe this dude keeps coming back to life only to be a brainless henchman for someone else. I can't wait to see what this Kronika person does to him when he outlasts his mindless usefulness.

I always thought Mavado was kind of vanilla. I didn't particularly care for him.

Baraka at least is like the most metal thing in MK11, so I'm always kind of happy to see him (except man does he ever need a better outfit). Supposedly Baraka is more of a ruthless general now trying to actively fight for the rights of his Tarkatan brethren! At least, everyone seems a lot more impressed that he actually seems like he's more than a flunky now according to the intro quotes to people.

And it took until MK9 until people cared about Stryker, for good reason. I wouldn't mind seeing Stryker again. I feel like there's place for him, but they need to flesh him out more as being basically more of a badass fighting these guys super powerful enemies with just his normal human weaponry.

I wouldnt mind seeing Shujinko and Onaga pop back up in this new timeline. Shujinko should in theory still go on his journey from Deception, since that started before the point where Raiden changed the timeline. (The timeline changes themselves could account for why hes not finished with the journey now of course.)

Im probably an extreme minority on that point though. <_<

Shujinko is underrated, there's a lot they could do with him. Onaga could also be a lot better if they gave him a chance. They're unfortunately seemingly afraid of most post-MK4 characters for some reason, and even with MK4 there's only a select few they acknowledge.

And Cassie Cage is looking a lot like Stryker in this to me, for the record. With her existence, it makes it a lot more difficult to see Stryker back because you can only have so many human cop/army people. As for Baraka, they've tried that with him before and he still ended up dying and looking stupid next to Mileena. He's just never, ever been a good character and he's been in so many games. Even as the face of games (like Deception, which he was) he was always a failure.

I have never liked Shujinko that much. He doesn't have much of a personality and his Konquest mode story sorta felt weak. I think Onaga could be done well though.

For all we know though, maybe Cassie will take some moves from Stryker like other characters seem to be doing with characters who didn't make the cut.

And hey man, give Baraka some respect. They always treat him well, even in his endings!

Oh wow.

I only just heard that you start with both offensive and defensive bars and that they will recover over time instead of as you attack or get attacked.

And because big combos are gone, they have eliminated breakers.

And then the Fatal Blows you get at low health, if you miss, are on a five second timer, meaning you keep it until you hit it.

They're really making this game a lot more different than MK9 and X.
