Question for Gen and Charon? Is there a reason you guys aren't looking to help Rikku? Just not a fan of her?

I'm just curious cause you are too of the bigger FFX supporters and I've never really understood why rikku seems to be completely separate from the rest of FFX in this.

For me personally, a character who matches Vivi in top 10s does not need my help. I'm worn out in terms of assisting other people's favorites in these. It just isn't worth the same devotion to me, not after like 11 or whatever years of it.

Rikku is actually pretty low on my list as far as favorite ffx characters go. But I am either indifferent or not a fan of the other 4, so I will give her my support.

Because Rikku seems to be completely separate from the rest of FFX in this to be honest.

Outside of like one or two pity votes from JonPen, Rikku savers have never done a damned thing for me so why should I lift a finger for them? Hell two of them (Prof and Karo) actively hate my favorite character and on occasion go out of their way to get him out of contention. Didn't happen this contest as Tidus had the power to fizzle out all on his own, but doesn't mean it hasn't happened before.

That aside she does well enough already without me. I mean she took the top X spot literally not even being anyone's top priority for 4/5ths of the contest. You know where Tidus would finish if I ignored him for 80% of this contest??? Find out next time on next episode of Essem Effef C when I go all in on X-0 I guess, but I guarantee it won't be top 5.

All that said she is my second favorite character left after Vincent so I can't promise I won't save her. I am just really bitter right now and don't really want to talk about my new priorities very much. I hadn't even planned on having "new priorities" until next round.

Like, Seymour going out one round- one VOTE- shy of where I set my goal for him, didn't even occur to me. This wasn't me setting my sights way too high like I did with Yuna when I thought she could win, this was me failing to fulfill a promise I made and that hurts.

Eh I like these contests more when theyre lighthearted and fun, replacing Braska with someone else and never mentioning it would be pretty entertaining (and ok since we never really get a good grasp of who Braska is)

It would be like supporting Red XIII during the year of XIII. Actually on second thought that sounds like that would get old super fast

I don't know if this really impacts things on a meta basis or is just a coincidence, but the same game has only produced back to back winners once before (Vivi's 2nd win after Steiner). I could see myself being less excited about supporting characters from a game that produced a winner the year before... well, except for 7 obviously.

So if anything, it would be in Gen and v_charon's interest to specifically work AGAINST Rikku!!

I think most people don't think of this game in terms of "I'm going to support literally everything from this game" (unless it's FFIX)

Squall vs Cloud and Terra vs Yuna

Probably unsurprising, what was to me was seeing Adelbert Steiner be the IX character to win his division

I've had her as who I trade for the majority of this year wtf you on, and I am 99% sure it was only after Snake had swapped to maining her that she wasn't who I first traded for, unless she didn't need trades(which was true for the first while)

To be honest, I intended to save Vincent when he had 18 saves for Chris' offer because if he couldn't even reach that point, i'd rather take a NR instead. I tried to save when I saw Great Paul's save but since I was on mobile with slow connection, my reaction time was a bit slow. I didn't even see Koala's NR when I tried to post.

I guess I'm just one of the few who will save her right along side yuna Tidus and the rest as needed.

I'd hoped to help Seymour more in these later rounds but I've only been able to get one or maybe 2 votes In every round due to life stuff so I really haven't been able to do more than a vote for rikku and try to keep her alive. Sorry it couldn't work out.
