With a final score of 22-18, Batman has defeated Spider-Man to finally earn himself a spot in the Hall of Kings! Congratulations to the caped crusader for his long journey into the record books. He joins Garrus Vakarian, Robin Hood, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Banjo, Samus Aran, Sherlock Holmes, Gregory House, Tyrion Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Gandalf, Jigglypuff, Ryu Hayabusa, Garfield, Captain Jack Sparrow, Optimus Prime, Bowser, Dr. Henry Jekyll, Solid Snake, James Bond, Inigo Montoya, Walter White, Carmen Sandiego, Trunks and Jack Skellington as the 25th winner of King of the Mountain.

As usual, this is where I bemoan the state of the contest while pondering if I should continue it or not. The final was able to garner 40 unique voters (43 if you consider the 3 that posted after it officially ended), which would be enough players for me to be happy I think. Sadly, given how King of the Mountain operates, 40 people don't end up playing this thing by the top 10 or so. It makes the rounds very stagnant, and it's kinda demeaning to watch rounds last 12+ hours and go 3 or more hours without a vote at all. I don't like that, obviously. But I know it can't really be solved or anything; I just wish people would participate, that's all.

Well naturally the origins for the two will differ from source to source, but demons are typically hellspawn of some sort (whether they're human souls twisted until they're evil or just created from scratch in hell or whatever) while vampires find their origin on Earth, through magic/curses or whatnot.
