I'd definitely embargo trades, but I personally can't afford to on NRs. No others were being offered, and frankly, Seymour is a niche character that needs those saves. There's no big movement or push happening like for others; the only real difference is Tidus died and my fiancee is willing to humor me. Other than that, it's like Seymour's usual two supporters pushing him as best they can.

Ironically if my fiancee participated in this contest she would main Tidus because she's only really played FFRK and got like a lot of Tidus relics.

Again, I've been beaten down by years of speaking up on various issues and having my favorite characters suffer as a result, but it DID feel kinda shitty that you made a big show of "FBike and Janus get a WARNING". Like...they already got Lightning lawyered out...I'd imagine it's pretty easy to keep your nose clean after you've already accomplished the elimination you were trying to achieve.

Anyway, just for the record (mostly to explain myself to swordz, who was wondering why I did it), I took Fbike's trade because I was offering the H1 trade really late and he was the only one who took it. If choosing between a symbolic refusal, where he'd just find another trade anyway, and the very real consequences of potentially not being able to save someone from XIII in a final rush, it seemed an easy choice. I can't set those trades up earlier because I need to get to work and confirm the WiFi is stable, there have been rare days where it wasn't. Same reason why I don't feel comfortable setting up a trade deal. I won't take certain trades during actual rounds, sure, but those pre-round trades are harder to come by

Well if you cut off enough avenues to trade you can corner the market. If Team Vincent isn't trading with him and Team XIII isn't trading with him, who is? Rikku's dullwing squad saves her for free so those are meaningless trades. There ain't really that much left at that point. I guess he might get a trade from pjbasis or the Seymour crew, but you can probably lock down a lot of potential traders with the trading might of FFXIII.

I would just like this stated completely clearly and out in the open:

You, Lopen, are personally okay with me, Inviso, openly working to kill Edea as a result of the bullshit that got pulled last round, both by FBike in action, and by GMUN in gloating? Because if I'm being honest...you are one of the biggest reasons why I have been extremely gunshy about doing ANYTHING to offend ANYONE for the past few years. Chris is there too, because he holds a lot of power, but given my anti-FFX/pro-FFIX leanings, I can recall several instances in the past where you personally were at odds with me for showing emotion in a potentially uncivil manner. Instances where if I either expressed anger of something I like getting booted, or joy over something I hate getting booted...and in both instances, the end result was people growing disdainful towards me and openly targeting my characters to teach me a lesson.

That's my whole reason why I accepted GMUN's trade instead of taking Martin's...because if I openly snub someone, I have a legitimate reason to fear that people will come after me out of spite. You KNOW that's how things have gone for me in the past, and it's been too goddamn long since I got an actual win in this contest for me to blow up now, even over some absolute bullshit like that lawyering last round.

I would like to note the reason I hold power is because if Fbike had done that to me does anyone doubt Edea is dead right now? Anyone? Does Edea get within even two of being safe? Edea's children would have felt my wrath.

Last year Nanis screwed with me and I told him Zidane was dead. The next round I dragged Zidane into the middle of the street and shot him, basically.

Don't overstep (like you did with Steiner 6 years ago) but when someone slaps you in the face people like Lopen and I have no problem with murder being involved. You can't let people be bad to you. I don't even want to know the horrible things said about me behind my back, some fair others unfair I am sure, but one thing that is never said is "it's a good idea to kill Chris' stuff."

If you thought you were gonna offend me (why would anyone care about offending me I'm just a rabble rouser with a temporary pocket minion power-up I don't have any sway here) by swearing vengeance upon the one who killed your flagship by way of rules abuse you're way off. I would applaud and shout "WONDERFUL!"

There are a lot of things I think it's kinda dumb to rage about in this contest but that's not one of them. I believe I usually cheer on Chris's vengeance crusades and they're usually less grounded than this one.

To be fair I don't think the battle system dropping off is the main reason to hate it later.

Although yeah it's not tapped into very well. I had to intentionally run gimmick squads (see you in hell spam best) to enjoy the later game.

I almost faltered on a trade deal many months back during Save My Anime Series because both the free wifi networks near where I sit at work were down that day. I wound up having to risk leaving my post and walk two blocks to a Subway to leech their network. I'd love to make a next round deal early or a full trade deal but it wouldn't be fair to Koala if I missed it.

What really sucks about all this is that I kind of like Edea. She's no Agnes but she's still a fun character. Maybe that's why I've felt at least equal rage towards Janus and Cid P. I don't even know what Cid P looks like, my current mental image is the weird bug that the FFIX Cid was turned into.

i just want to put it out there that i had absolutely no intention of taking an Edea trade and if i put out an auto with a no Edea clause in the future, it will NOT be because i felt otherwise and was swayed in this topic by Chris or Lopen or whoever. i did think about throwing out that auto just to make my intentions known but everyone started arranging trades before the round started and i knew i was going to have limited availability since the round was starting later. and there's actually another character i would rather not save which is why i've been grabbing trades rather than offering for the most part.

i do feel Edea would have still made it through regardless but i am not contest-savvy enough in that i'm not sure of everybody's leanings/priorities to be able to confidently call that.

Roba brings up a good point. In a perfect world we'd develop some kind of anti-Edea trading scheme, like literally everybody who needs to trade goes to one person with who and what hours they're trading for and that person develops a save schedule across 3 hours that covers everybody without any overlap... lol. Nobody should be posting an auto except those auto-ing for Edea.

I mean there was so much trading going on before the start of this round, could probably construct something there... but too much effort.
