Opening packs and boxes.

In over a year of active playing of rainbow six siege Ive never gotten a single legendary pack. Save for the sole free pack from the March event.

Ive even saved up enough renown for 50 packs. Not one good.

Im about to do it again.

Ugh, I have the worst luck with things tied to RNG. never get the skins I want on Overwatch, or the guns I want in Destiny

If there is a wide open space I'm trying to throw a grenade to and there's even a tiny pole anywhere on screen, I will undoubtedly hit that instead.

Technical issues, if there is an invisible wall to get stuck on or a hole in the level geometry I'll find it and get stuck in it. Also just general instability, I played WoW for years and dealt with blue screens throughout different hardware.

The environment, in any game, will somehow catch me everytime. I'm always getting caught by something and having to make that quick back up and regroup maneuver.

Having very little time to play all the games I want/own.

Playing a game, then having to stop for a while, then when I resume, I can't remember how the keyboard is mapped.

My curse is to suck at every game I ever play in my entire life. I even suck at Kirby, Animal Crossing and My Little Pony. Heaven help me, I love playing games though. Never going to stop.

Unable to pass stealth levels until i rage and start throwing stuff around.

Countless actually.

Stop playing for months for no reason just to come back and not remember what the heck was I supposed to do to progress, or finding out my skills went back to 0 even though I'm in a high level area and getting my ass kicked hard for that;

Getting lost, even with a map and quest marks;

Ending up being underleveled at a point of the game with no turning back;

But the worst of all is being a split screen lover and hating online multiplayer, because that's against the trend and totally out of my control.

Dying from fall damage.

I'm too good, so I beat games too easily and feel wasted.

If I'm trying to explore and find hidden items and a path splits in two, I'll always end up on the 'correct' path and trigger like 3 cutscenes.

My curse is perfectionism. If I stuff something up early in the game I keep restarting until I get it right. Although lately I've become a bit better on focusing on enjoying games.

My desire sensor hates me, anything to do with RNG i have the worst luck with and when i eventually do get said thing it will be wildly out of the the expected statistical range.

For example playing Diablo 3 yesterday, spent 3 hours as well as 5 hours the day previously gambling and cubing for a particular set of bracers for my Witch Doctor build. Eventually just moved on to the mojo i needed as, they're less of them and should be faster/more common. Surprised not at all by the fact the bracers then dropped as a random drop 10 minutes later, and it took me another 5 hours to get the mojo. Literally had about 5 each of every other legendary mojo before the one i needed dropped.

And then just to rub salt in the wound, 2 more of the same dropped randomly within an hour later when i didn't need it any more, and didn't even have the decency to be better in slot.

Getting past something difficult fairly easily (one or two tries), then dying or failing to something afterwords before I'm able to save (or before the game checkpoints, however it works) and then failing over and over and over again at the thing I just easily passed a bit ago, before I'm able to pass it again. I cannot tell you how many times this has happened, and I called it "Cursed Beginners' Luck". Can also be applied to those times where you get a bunch of some item, use/sell them, then when you end up actually needing one for a quest or event, you cannot get one to drop.

This so much.

I remember a few years back I was trying to beat the Perfect Run on SMG2. On my first attempt, I made it to the last section where I proceeded to lose. Three hours later, I had still not made it back to that section after multiple deaths.

More recently, I was fighting Ornstein and Smough in Dark Souls. On my first attempt, I managed to defeat Smough and almost killed Ornstein, where I got greedy and died. Ten attempts later, I could still not even beat Smough.

I think it's mainly frustration. You are so mad that you died in the place you did on your first attempt, your frustration makes you play worse on subsequent attempts.

In Final Fantasy XIV, the best chances I have of clearing content is to join learning parties. Farm parties can't clear shit.
