No, but we have had Dark Samus in regular Samus match pics. It's probably sketchy to consider them the same character like that, though not on the level of CJayC not considering Mega Man and X to be the same robot.

Has Tetra ever been allowed in a match? If so, I'd flip on Sheik, but as of now, she still IS Zelda.

Tetra has not made it in as an entrant, no...not sure about pictures if that is still a consideration, but probably in that sense.

Toad is already in as a Mii Fighter costume, but do I take it right that you wouldn't count him as part of Peach's set? How about characters like Doc Louis, who only appear in victory poses for other characters -- do we even have other characters like that?

Unless there's a cap on the number of Pokemon from each generation to ensure every single generation is represented. The number of Pokemon from each generation in the bracket would be proportional to the size of the generation (Gen 1 and Gen 5 get the most Pokemon, Gen 6 the fewest Pokemon).

With a 64 Pokemon bracket, the number of Pokemon for each generation would be 12, 8, 11, 8, 12, 6, 7.
