I've usually been bad, still somehow in 13th. Despite your 2 last place picks and my consecutive top 5 picks (first and third), you still beat me in most of those 8 matches.

Not only that, its giving some people zeroes even though they have a prediction registered on the site

I updated the predictions after the scores got updated. So it is using the wrong final match result and some of the predictions are also wrong.

Wow... I managed to stay on the same spot despite having Simon Belmont wrong and an awful safety pick for Sub-Zero!

It's also showing inconsistent results like mixing up different values while also saying they are the same (like in Ammy vs. Lara where there's a 58+ among some 60s and applies the same score to them).

Oh wow, thank god I actually did put in safeties. I thought we were down to 2 matches a day now not 4. Probably screwed me a little on my Zero pick but better than no prediction at all

Yeah, I'm one of the many people that has a zero for the last few matches even though obviously we have predictions.

You may need to do Ctrl+F5 to reload without using the cache...

Everything is working fine, I just lost four spots to people who didn't previously have predictions entered. I liked 12 more than 16.

Oracle Challenge Day 24 Update:

With 2/3rds of the contest season done so far, let's give a brief update on some of the biggest stories of the Oracle Challenge year:

Biggest collapses of the season:

#1: andyit



Andy got off to a great start, leading Hylian by 3 points after day 1:



However, his dream Oracle season was never to materialize. His faith in Tidus on Day 2 really crushed his hopes of winning the Oracle:



That pick alone dropped him 8 spots in the rankings, from 1st to 9th

From there, he just couldn't get any momentum going. This is his current standing, in 46th place overall:



Other major collapses:

#2 Abdou

He was in 2nd place on Day 2:



Now, he currently sits in 88th(!!!) place.



#3 SuperNiceDog

After Day 7, he was sitting in 4th place:



After Day 24, he has fallen 36 spots to 40th(!) place.



Biggest comebacks of the season:

#1 ecksgem

After Day 3 of the contest, he was in 44th place:



It looked grim for ecks, but he made some great picks the rest of the way. One of the most important for him was the Crash vs Cecil match on Day 5. His faith in Crash rewarded ecks, with him moving up 9(!!) spots in that match alone(30th to 21st):



As of today, he has gone on an AMAZING run and is now currently in 4th, a serious threat to win the Oracle.



Star of the Oracle Contest so far:

#1 Hylianknight3

He has been easily the star of the Oracle so far. Consistently making great picks.



#2 Luster Solider

Consistently in the top 5, Luster is the most serious threat to Hylian's run to the championship. He has a knack for finding the perfect risk/reward in his picks. He will be very difficult for Hylian to overcome.

#3 tennisboy213

Constantly battling with Hylian for the top spot, he has been overtaken by Luster recently. Still, his brilliance has been on display for the first half of this contest, consistently making spot on picks and never blowing himself up early. His pick in the Albert Wesker vs Sephiroth match on Day 15 was particularly great:

I have no regrets having picked Kefka to win today. Taking a risk every once in a while makes the Oracle Challenge a lot more fun.

The matches yesterday make it seem like Kirby is going beat Bowser with 60% next round.

Today I picked the wrong winner for two matches yesterday, picking both Bayonetta and Fox. I'm probably dropping out of the top ten, then.

If I had realized I had climbed up to 5th, no way do I take the risk of Squall today like I did. Today is going to be brutal for me. I expect 5th to like 11th or 12th or something

Literally went off with a prediction of 61% in a match that no one else went higher than 58.4% on. Lowering it to 60.8% would've been sufficient to get my first ever first-place prediction.

There are currently some problems with the scripts for the Oracle website. Hopefully they can be fixed but it's likely the upcoming update will either be late or wrong.

Ok there's something I really don't get about the contest standings page. On every signle contest they're saying 7221 brackets voted for one side or the other... but a lot of these post-first round contests weren't even in people's brackets. The amount of people voting for one or the other should be declining every round, and it shouldn't even be consistent from one match to another.

Oh yesterday wasn't as bad as I thought

I think my aim is to try finish 4th because let's be honest, that is basically best of the rest right now given the huge gap between the top 3 and the rest of us.

A top 5 finish would also mean I finished top 5 in the last 3 contests on the site. I'm pretty sure I finished 3rd in the missing 2k13 one

my goal right now is top 10

Anyone 4th and below is basically hoping for close matches where the leaders pick the wrong person winning. Either that or some unexpected blowouts / close matches that leaders get horribly wrong.

Usually you see the pack either fall away or catch the leaders towards the end as the leaders take less risks and tend towards the cookie predictions if they have a decent lead

My goal is to get a single #1 pick.

I might've had a chance if I'd stuck with my original instincts on Luigi-Tails!

Man I am really regretting that Squall pick. I regretted it as soon as it ticked to start time and it's even worse now. Without it I'd be like 30 points back which whilst a stretch may have been doable.

Other pick that kicked my ass against the consensus was Quiet.

I guess at 42 points back I could technically make a run but it would need a ton of help and no incorrect picks

Being in the top five has been great and Id love to wind up there in the end, but right now I mostly just want a #1 pick! So many #3s.
