Considering that the US has always been a melting pot and has increasingly shifting demographics whereas Japan is one of the most purposefully homogenuous countries on the planet, I'm not sure how you see our future.

Japan is hell. I don't know how they could expect anyone to reproduce there. They really need to put some laws on the work ethic there. They literally expect you to work so long you fall asleep at your work space.

Not exactly. Since we're salary instead on wages, we technically get paid lunch. But it's up to who ever is in charge of you to decide that. Sometimes, we would get enough time to get take out from the chow hall. Other times, we could go to a sit down restaurant. Typically, it's suppose to be about an hour, though...

It's officially supposed to be an hour and a half for breakfast and lunch, but it's "command discretion".

The US doesn't have anything close to Japan's NEET culture and, in the case of insanity like #MeToo, attempts at pushing through SJW measures are heavily resisted so it's not really change. More importantly, every western nation is dealing with SJWs to some extent and is seeing blowback to policies which make the Salem witch trials look moderate by comparison. And, of course, a large percentage of women don't buy into SJW garbage, a significaknt number of whipped men buy into it just to get laid, etc.

Plus there's the key difference in attitudes towards sex and dating. While Japan has a trend towards just giving up, the US has replaced dating with a hookup culture. And while Japanese citizens might avoid or never hit certain life milestones, the US has merely pushed them back so you just have people marrying and having kids a bit later.

Most importantly, the US doesn't yet have Japan's stagnant economy although sooner or later our industry be gutted by reckless free trade practices which ship the remaining manufacturing jobs overseas (that is, whatever can't be automated more cheaply here), knowledge work to India, etc. Democrats and Republicans alike are hell-bent on reducing American prosperity for short-term gains.
