Morrigan is another one of those characters that no one ever thinks to nominate on their own but when the board rallies her in she does very well. She's probably a nice low midcarder but we would have to organize her entry each year.

Also Guybrush missed the bracket after getting not-last in a poll for the first time ever in 2013. Maybe SBAllen just didn't want to deal with more of his fans' BLATANT CHEATING.

And yeah Robotnik is decent and isn't here. Missingno. is, well, missing too.

I think L-Block is the only inanimate object on the list this time. Thank God. Weighted Companion Cube was one thing because of the way it was presented but ? Block definitely crossed the line of "what's a character?"

Terry Bogard and Mai Shiranui are huge snubs.

Speaking of Soul Calibur VI, are there any Soul Calibur characters on the bracket? Just opened the bracket now, doing ctrl+F for Ivy, Taki, Mitsurugi, Siegfried, Sophitia, etc and not seeing them. So that's some notable snub action, and a bit of resurgence in popularity for the series lately.

Duke Nukem is the biggest snub for me, but being underrated is Duke's thing. And his series is in hibernation. There is that announced greenlit John Cena Duke Nukem movie in pre-production anyway.

GTA snubs are big for sure as well, 5 had great clever character writing I felt, plus it's a huge hit. Max Payne is another snub, but in general it seems these two areas (non-current action heroes and various fighting game characters) weren't focused on so much by voters.

Dragon Age may also be missing? I like Isabela and Varric myself. Lot of big games are unrepresented for sure. At least we have Gordon Freeman... who faces Bowser in his first match, poor Gordo.

edit: Looking it up in the wiki, seeing Ivy's only match was versus Tifa... that ain't right. Ivy deserves another go I say, and I think some of the others like Taki, Sophitia, and Mitsurugi could do okay against some opponents.

Lots of early/mid 2000s characters don't really seem to be on the mind of nominators anymore. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if some of the people nominating weren't even alive when the first Disgaea released at this point.

Like I was saying during the noms, the fanbase is split on which one to nominate but most users probably didn't have the foresight to nominate both of them, so they both lost votes.
