I don't want to drive on snow/ice for the first time. Ugh. Who expects snow in the first week of October? I'm not that far north. Normally we don't get snow till November or December.

Pssh, I had a road test right after a storm and I think because of the slush I was given a bit more leeway.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you've played enough games then you have an idea how to react to slick surfaces. Then it only gets easier from there, ya know?

Good luck on your driving lesson! There's nothing to driving except keeping your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel.

Not in bad weather thank God but my first time driving on anything but a private low traffic road was when my mom had a stroke while we where out somewhere and I had to drive. As she called it "trial by fire"

The snow had melted and evaporated by the time my test came around yesterday. But today it's still snowing and will be snowing during my lesson. So this will be fun. :s At least I have a general idea of how the car handles now, so it shouldn't be quite so bad as if it had happened yesterday.

I don't disagree, I just didn't want to get thrown head first into the deep end.

I was going 30 km/h for most of my lesson yesterday and 50 km/h for the rest. Will be on the highway today so 90-100 km/h when I'm driving down that.

Oof. Glad I don't live near any major cities. That would stress me right out.

Well I'm going to be doing it through the snow, uphill, both ways!

To tc. Oddly I handled it fine, the driving part. I ran one red light (one of those it was yellow but turned red at a its too late can't slow down now moments)

And yeah she's more or less back to normal now. Not 100 percent but out of work over it. She was a prison guard and they worry about stuff like a stroke happening on the job. One they'd have to pay 100 percent of her disability I think if that happened but more importantly it would put her and whatever other officer she's with at risk of a inmate taking advantage of the situation.

You're expected to be able to handle it when you've got road handling down at standard speeds. They're hardly difficult to negotiate so I assume they just want to avoid several mile tailbacks because a learner got spooked.

Only having a permit I drove freeways up to 70 mph. I found that easier than driving around town having to stop constantly at lights making turns and watching out for what other drivers are doing before making said turn or crossing an intersection.

That said haven't heard of a driving test going on the freeway. Worst I've heard is the instructor making them pull into a store so they could buy something for themselves.

Mine was real short. Took maybe 10 minutes, probably didn't drive two miles away from the DMV. Thank God the dmv where I live doesn't live up to the reputation of making everything take forever.

There was some snow and fog for a minute or two on the highway, but it wasn't too bad. I think the highway part was the easiest today. Though it I think I was stressed out a bit even though it felt more casual than the rest of the driving. Maybe it was my bad park jobs I was doing before?

I didn't. Well, I had trouble with my uphill parkings. Hopefully I can do better at that tomorrow.

More complaining than fretting about. Worrying about things does absolutely nothing, so I tend not to. I mean, you'll probably say that complaining doesn't do anything either, but I find it's a good stress reliever.
