Season 1 came out this time last year and got great reviews, it apparently did very well rating-wise, enough for Netflix to immediately greenlight a doubly-long Season 2:



Season 2 comes out October 26th, which I think is 2 days after Alucard/Peach. He's featured heavily in Season 2.

1) This is the first I've even heard of Castlevania as a TV show. (And no, I don't use Netflix.)

3) Chloe is absolutely stronger than Max. Chloe has personality, actually does stuff, and got her own follow-up game. Max has all the character of Frisk from Undertale, other than she actually talks.

She is (or at least was) a big talking point for Smash.

Her games have been getting special editions released left and right, there's so many LPs of her games on Youtube, and the fact that she's even being discussed by Smash fans to that degree means she's somewhat relevant. I don't think she's strong by any means, but I don't know why you think she's going to be one of the weakest characters ever.

Also I think it's hilarious that you call it convenient timing when literally days after the previous contest, she had a hugely active Kickstarter that could have easily resulted in her getting a high seed if the contest had been postponed just a few months.

Tonight at approximately 9pm Eastern I'll be hosting a Character Battle Gauntlet, for anyone who would like to join. We used to play Gauntlets a lot, the rules are pretty simple - in a randomized order the participants select their favorite among two randomized choices, the winner goes back into the Gauntlet, and the loser is dead. Everyone votes in the final match. This one will have all 435 characters that have ever been in the character battle, including specialty brackets (villains and rivals) and bonus matches.
