Graphics are charming, love the art style, and the voice acting is very good. I wouldn't say the music ruins it. The tunes are enjoyable enough. But I do agree that it seems odd they went the MIDI route

And going by the orchestral of DQVIII, I prefer midi as it sounds cleaner. It's fine to prefer orchestral, but it's kind of eyeroll-inducing how far people are taking the complaining. --- ...
