Assuming the balance is the same as the Japanese release, without the draconian settings, the game is never really all that hard outside of certain key bosses.

Do you still find the game challenging at all after disabling the draconian quest? Considering turning it off, but dont want to if the game becomes too easy

I've only fought a few bosses since then but they've been manageable. They can still hit hard but it doesn't feel almost overwhelming to keep up with for me.

the griffons with just the hero and erik arent hard but they can win though sheer bullshit

i mentioned early they beat me twice the exact same way
i needed to heal but still had plenty of HP
then they get 3 turns in a row and all used whoosh

Anything that someone just starting the game today/tomorrow should be aware of? I've heard the game is pretty easy so I'm mostly in it for the chill vibes and overall just jolly time.

erik shows a lot of his chest with his shirt so make sure to look at that a lot because he is nice to look at

You can press triangle while naming your character to enable challenges making the game harder. You can always turn them off, but you cant activate them once you start your game.

Collect as many shiny spots as you see on your map, you'll appreciate it later. Also explore the towns for treasure for the same reason. Materials, gold, equipment, recipes.

I am gonna try to continue to push through with the draconian settings for now, but might have to take at least one of them off soon. I currently have strong monsters and no exp from weak enemies. Not sure which one I will take of first.

I am starting to become convinced that the Draconian Quest settings are actually subtle works of performance art by the designers which satirize the modern Western preoccupation with difficulty levels by introducing modes that are so difficult and arbitrarily constraining as to be blatantly not fun.

it certainly gets pretty challenging. I just want my classic DQ difficulty back :(

Why are some trophies ultra rare? Is it just that it hasn't been out long?

Please tell me you don't have weapons that break. (I only played 8, so not DQ master)

The game's just new. Getting the plat is super easy
Weapons don't have durability
There's grinding if you start on super strong monster mode
And music is in the same style

I was about to celebrate getting 5 7s at the slots, but somehow I only got 15k tokens from it. Damn.

The jackpot resets if someone wins. SO won it and got 200k.

Just got it. The sound is atrocious. Low quality MIDI and awful voice acting... argghhh. Turned VA off and it's already an improvement. Anyway, hope it's fun.

This game screwed me over badly in the Kingsbarrow. Three Little Devils and a Healslime. I couldnt do enough to kill anything before one of the four healed each other. I wiped for the first time. Feels bad man

Got gigasmash by resetting my skills and going straight for it
It's crazy high damage, doing twice as much to a group than one regular attack

edit: redid my skills to go down 1 handed to grab falcon slash and gigaslash for the impending kraken fight
those of you who did it, did you activate the cannons?

i wish this game have super hi - res texture mod or something, and i absolutely would nerd out 1000x crazier.

some photos i took and even those i show have some low res texture which made it looks kinda weird, or myabe i should just go outside taking real photos instead of videogame.

the point is, the game is fucking gorgeous.

i spend so much time taking photos. the horse in the coliseum race for example, i have to wait for it to loop twice to get that shot. first loop the timing is off so it doenst frame perfectly.
