This seems inherently biased seeing as the "experts" who researched this most likely are the exact type of people it is referring too. It's also a classic case of correlation which does not necessitate causation.

Well, of course you would think that. You say you're asexual, so I had no doubt you would say that.

Also, the average length of sex is 3 to 7 minutes. That's less than half of my break at work. But that also depends on what you consider the start of sex. Before foreplay can be pretty long... But that's also usually done on people's free time.

As for me, I don't really buy it. I've known a good number of intelligent people who actually have been with a decent amount of people. They just do things like use protection(both against STIs/STDs & pregnancy). This sounds more like "experts" trying to find a reason for why their sex lives aren't the best...

That's only one way to find people. Doesn't work for everyone. But even then, with the right person, even that isn't an issue. I think you heterosexual, so for you, you could just go out somewhere and be social. If you do that correctly, you should be able to easily find someone without trying hard. The statistic in question seems to be the number of different sexual partners the people have had, not the amount of sex they have, which are very different concepts. Furthermore, the whole "smart people spend more time studying and less time sexing" thing ceases to be at all applicable past university, since being more intelligent decreases the average number of hours needed to work in order to survive. It does indeed sound to me like a bunch of "experts" trying to explain why they aren't getting any and refusing to accept the actual answer of "because you aren't doing anything to attract women."

Some of that is why I'm glad I prefer guys. Guys are much easier to date. The only problem I ever have is dating guys who aren't bottoms. Or more specifically, the ones who won't stray away from being a top. Haha.

Well that's not true at all, just because you are done with school doesn't mean you stop learning and studying to advance in your job. I still spend about 2-4 hours a day studying just to keep up with modern programming trends and tools. People who don't do this end up being the "I'm stuck in a dead end job with no chance for career development" people.

Sounds like reassurance for people who don't get laid. And the study argument isn't necessarily a matter of intelligence so much as it is habits. A lot of stupid people study an absurd amount of time for good grades, whereas smart people could get those same grades with far less studying (which is how I was able to juggle school and work easily). However, studying while in school definitely cuts into a social life which, in turn, could lower the opportunities for casual hookups.

And, of course, the story doesn't seem to include that many details regarding the study so there's no telling how legitimate it might be.

Kind of a creepy response which suggests that all of the autonomy is in the hands of women, in that they approach you and initiate every phase whereas, in reality, it's almost always the guys who approach. A lot of guys don't have sex until later in life because they expect women to just approach them instead of making the first move at every step.

It's far more common to see high-performing men with low-performing women, although that largely comes down to a gender imbalance. (And, of course, a lot of people like partners who operate at roughly their level.) Additionally, if one partner were more likely to have an ego, it would almost certainly be the male since males tend to grow up competitive whereas women tend to grow up cooperative.

The media portrayal is partly because liberals are more present in entertainment and also because it's an inversion of (and likely a reaction to) the "father knows best" trope prevalent throughout earlier decades. And, of course, it continues because tv is largely derivative. If something works, it gets copied.

Well that's not true at all, just because you are done with school doesn't mean you stop learning and studying to advance in your job. I still spend about 2-4 hours a day studying just to keep up with modern programming trends and tools. People who don't do this end up being the "I'm stuck in a dead end job with no chance for career development" people.

It's certainly an option, but it stops being a necessity. You might not get promotions if you don't do your homework, but at least you'll be able to eat. That's less true of lower-paying jobs with minimal qualifications, where that extra few hours of work a day is what's needed to avoid choosing between rent and food. 2-4 hours a day is also much more than is really applicable for many fields. For most fields, professional development doesn't have to take the place of a social life.

I'm considering asking women out to be a part of "doing something to attract women." In retrospect, "attract" is an awkward verb to use to make that point, but the basic gist of the argument is that they should stop trying to blame anything other than their insistence on waiting for women to fall in their laps.

Maybe. But not always. Lots of people now have birth control(Like the arm implant of shot) these days which could help lower the chances of children. You also assuming that the ones who aren't as smart are also less responsible. Which may not always be true. Sometimes, the smart ones don't act as responsible because they think they know everything there is to know. Especially if they have an ego. But it still comes down to the individual. Either way, you can still have the same amount(or more) of reckless unprotected sex even if you don't have the same amount of partners...
