I was thinking just like TC because I already have an Xbox Live subscription and will need to get PS Plus soon for reasons. Then I saw the prices. An entire year for $20? Yeah I can do that easily!

This is starting to remind me why I never played my Vita beyond the initial purcharse. Sony had those special Memory cards, and I am not paying them for that crap. Oh, and free games, right? Like the PS4. While a free game sounds neat, I doubt I would have time to play whatever free game Nintendo wants to give me. This is more of a personal thing, but my free time is not much. So when I want to game, I want to play specific games. I don't want to play Infamous 5 years after it came out. Those free games were always trash. I have paid for PSn+ for a LONG time and the only free game I can think I ever enjoyed was Tokyo Jungle.

Kinda wrong. There was some backlash but it was totally overshadowed by the awful Bone reveal and Sony promoting access to used games and a lower price. I definitely don't like paying for it but I have my ways around it. Such as waiting until a store has PSN credit on sale, then buying a sub online when Sony has a percent back sale. Or survey credit.

They all conveniently overlooked the fact that it actually sucked in comparison to Xbox Live which is why the next gen saw PSN steal everything about Xbox Live.

Backing Up Saves - Pretty much every other technology nowdays can do this without having to pay for it. How is paying for something, that is free everywhere else an incentive?
Playing Classic games with updates - Do we even know what they are? And honestly, I am good on classics. I already played them before. I rather play new titles. Not Zelda DX for the 5th time.

You know you're paying to have multiple free services in one place, right?

You must not have played online on both 360/PS3 and Xbone/PS4 then. There is a HUGE leap in online quality from PS3 to PS4. You can actually talk outside of games (party chat on xbox, cannot remember what PSN called it) and the online service is actually quick and usable (try the PSN store on PS3, it takes 5+ minutes to open).

Because the sole reason I even play Nintendo games is for Pokemon. I grew up with Nintendo, but I am already bored of all their other games.

And one of my favorite thing in Pokemon is battling and guess what, I am sure I will need their "online" service to do so. Hell, I bet a lot of fun functions like Wonder Trade will be unusable due to paying for online.

So, that's why I am "ditching" the console. I am not looking to sell it, it will just die covered in dust like my Vita or Xbone. Hell, I have bought like 7 Virtual Games on my Switch with a 400GB SD Card, but fuck them. Not given them a single dime more. They can take their crap ass online service and keep it.

And that may be true for Nintendo. Or maybe not. They're an entirely different company. I think Sony was selling real ending for a few games in DLC. Nintendo's DLC is actual DLC that you don't need. And for some games, free.

Sure you don't like it. But that's what lots of other companies that aren't game companies also do. So, like it or not, it's business. As for the price, it might increase, it might not. We don't know yet.

Also, nobody said it was amazing. Though the price is. And I guess it sucks for the people that want voice chat. Though, I'm definitely fine without it...
