Agreed. People always lash out in a salt rage at me when I say it, but I could replay any other real zelda game in the series including the DS ones before I could sit through LttP again.

I think I agree. It's a good game, but it feels very 'padded' and empty going back to it. Really benefits from being the follow up to Zelda II imo

Its arguably the best-looking Zelda game to date & it basically created the modern Zelda formula.
That being said... I actually kinda agree. The overworld was pretty meh to me & while they pretty much perfected the gameplay formula for the rest of the series, I feel like they didnt get the atmosphere right for the series until Ocarina of Time. I also think its immediate successor, Links Awakening, is a much better top-down action/adventure game. Still a great game, but not the end-all Zelda game like a lot of people claim it to be. --- ... For now, I think BotW is the most overrated. It was great, but not truly deservingg of the GoaT type scores it received imo. If they fix the couple of major issues for its inevitable sequel, that game might truly be worthy of GoaT status

I'm inclined to agree. When I played it, I really enjoyed it, but preferred LA.

Like, it's amazing for a Gameboy game, but it's still pretty fucking basic all around. Then again, I've come to the conclusion that either I'm weird or Zelda fans are pretentious based on which ones people always consider "the best". OoT is the most overrated. The worst overworld, story, worst hubs, equipments, 3-4 really bad dungeons
Like somebody even try to defend that garbage Shadow Temple, which is just a fucking square, Water Temple which has an extremely obscure look up at some garbage design. It also has one of the worst combats as well as the most basic and least creative weapons and tools. Combat is literally, target, slash til ded, fewest moves out of all the 3D Zeldas. There aren't any masks, items like beetles or temporally freezing, just the most basic shit like arrows, bombs Don't even get me started on the overworld. It's like 1000 times smaller than BotW and still has less to do in a single square mile than a random square mile in BotW --- "Iwata was awesome" - Mr. Nintendo https://imgur.com/JGJqvwW ...
