I mean it's fine if you "figured" it out that way but it's not exactly solid logic

like I can guess that someone might have a bigger role than they initially appear to have based on who's voicing them but I wouldn't make quite that leap

Eh, if I really wanted to experience it that badly, I'd just watch an LP, which is what I did for AAI2 after we learned it wasn't coming over here (and the fan translation took forever) and what I've been doing for both of the DGS games (although they're taking forever on the second game. It's been out for a year now and they haven't even finished translating the second case yet).

If you want to say my thought process back then had holes in it, that's fine. I don't think it's as flawed as you seem to be making it out to be but it certainly wasn't as rock solid as past-me thought it was either. Past-me was stupid, you see. So is current me, but hopefully not as stupid.

I didn't state that because I was trying to show off or say I was a genius or something. The subject of figuring out P4's culprit came up so I commented on how I arrived at the answer. Regardless of the soundness of my logic, that I took it as a given and ended up arriving at the correct answer meant that as a practical purpose I had "spoiled" the reveal for myself earlier than the game intended.

Azure's ending was so weird. All that climax, and then the bizarre epilogue stuff. The game would've been better off without it, and it would've spoiled Cold Steel less too. If not for that, the ending would've been solid, but no, it's probably the worst ending for a Trails game I've played (which is all of them other than CS3).

The Azure fan-TL is half-edited at least btw, so it's not nearly as bad as Zero's, lol.

Ugh why is limit form so annoying to level

I get to try two limits per magic bar and get two magic bars per limit form, and then I seem to have like a 5% success rate of finishing a limit and actually getting a whopping 1 experience point

In SMT news, I think Ive finally been able to nail down my exact alignment point total after having generally tried to keep things balanced while playing but not explicitely tracking a number for most of the game. If Im right then Im only two points off where I should be based on this guide for getting the neutral ending, which I should be able to adjust for pretty easily.

Im gonna be really annoyed if I have to end up replaying a bunch of stuff, though...!

Persona 5 anime episode 15 complete

Man, I had forgotten how good the Futaba arc is. They recreated one of my favorite moments in the game, too, where Makoto's freaking out in Sojiro's house and then Futaba appears in the shadows. So good. Also, apparently, in Japanese, everyone calls Sojiro "Master" in Engrish? Weird. Looks like they're going to truncate the Palace into a single episode, but I think it's pretty doable with this particular one.

Okay, in Xillia news, we end up in Xian Du, some ancient tribal civilization where they hold a Mortal Kombat tournament every decade, and we've arrived just in time for it! Although they don't fight to the death anymore...until they do anyway. Regardless, Elize feels like she's been here before, although she can't remember clearly when or why. We meet a doctor who helps Leia after a boulder nearly falls on her, and she reacts strangely to meeting Elize. Milla finds some wyverns to help us fly into Fennmont, but the clan that takes care of them finds us and is angry at us...until they work out a deal for us to represent their clan in Mortal Kombat in exchange for use of the wyverns. We fight a bunch of easy battles, but all the party (except Alvin) acts like it was super difficult.

There's a lunch after the fighting, but everyone gets poisoned and dies except for our group. Milla reveals an organization named Exodus has been trying to assassinate her for a very long time because they're the people who produce the spyrix things and she's been destroying them. She reveals why they're so dangerous, too. Apparently, humans and spirits have a symbiotic relationship through the sharing of mana, but a spyrix lets you use artes without mana and the resulting imbalance of power causes spirits to die. In the final round of the tournament, we fight a group of people who are using a spyrix in what looks like an MGS-style rail gun. In the process, Teepo gets stolen by Exodus agents, and Elize and Alvin run after them.

Oh right, speaking of Alvin, we learn stuff about him secondhand that seems like we'll learn in greater detail by playing as Milla. It seems the doctor we met in town looks after his mom, so I guess he's from around here. Also, he's been working for Exodus on the side, although he was never involved in any of the missions against the party (or so he claims). He promises never to work for them again, but a mercenary's word usually isn't worth much, so who knows!

Not going to post at length about this here, but I've spent the last 2 weeks or so playing through the PS4 Utawarerumono games (Mask of Deception/Mask of Truth). They are quite good imo, and I think some people in this topic might like them.

They are technically SRPG's, but I'd only really recommend them to visual novel fans. The text-to-gameplay ratio is quite high, and from a gameplay perspective I don't see much reason to pick this up over other SRPG's. (As a reference point, I don't like SRPG's myself, but it's a small enough factor that I'm still able to enjoy these games)

User SaveEstelle clued me onto this, but Nathan Fillion starred as Nathan Drake in a fanmade Uncharted film. It's only 15 minutes, but it's pretty good. I'm sold on the idea of him playing Nate if there ever is a live-action movie now because he can hit all of the character's cadences.

I started FFX for the first time on PS4 this weekend. Up to Macalania Woods. I am already super familiar with all the story details and characters so don't ezpect me to comment on it. I also knew the game got rid of ATB, and had heard about the Sphere Grid and Blitzball and switching party members in battle.

So let me tell you that the thing that amazed me the most about the game is the color palette. Even something as plain as the Thunder Plains was nice to look at. But everywhere else was just bursting with color that I never wanted to stop or look away.

I was also not expecting the switching characters to be free, so that was a nice surprise too. And easy to level up too since they only need to do one action in battle. Sphere Grid feels slower than expexte and I don't get the hype. Though at this point nobody has left there path, except Kimahri who has gone after Lulu.

Oh, and count me in as a Blitzball fan. Spent a good two hours just playing that. But I still can't grasp Techcopy.

FFX is a beautifully colored game, yes. Spira is probably my favorite world in the series. Who needs world maps?

Find an ability they can learn, let someone use it on them, push the button at the right time, learn ability. There are certain things that can prevent you from learning abilities, such as if the level disparity is too big. Characters also have "key techniques" they need to learn to unlock other abilities.

Blitzball's not for everyone, but I prefer to play in small doses. I'll play a couple of games when I find a save sphere and then move on. Don't like to spend too much time away from story stuff!

FFX-2 however will be almost completely blind. I just know there are Dress Spheres that kinda work like Paradigms and that Tidus comes back at the end. That's it.

Oh yeah, I also played the audio drama and, while I stopped paying attention like ten minutes in, I just wanna say that I really love the Devola/Popola voice actress.
