I kind of sort of have a hunch about who stole it although I doubt there's any way I could prove it unless I caught them with it

at the very least they had a motive and an opportunity to commit the crime

You mentioned that the culprit scattered around family mementos in your office. Depending on what they did, there's a possibility they left their fingerprints on one of them. With that said, I have no idea how you would get the police to try and follow up a lead like that. Showing the item to the culprit and bluffing that you know their fingerprints are on it to threaten them probably only works in video games.

Plus, if I'm wrong, it would be extremely messy. People aren't as forgiving in real life as they are in Ace Attorney, after all.

I guess we could report it to the police, but I don't know if they'd even do anything with it if we don't have any proof.

so the FF1 Ultimania has spell descriptions that sort of attempt to justify why they work or don't work, such as saying Sleep doesn't work on undead enemies because they have no souls

they literally say that the Death spell makes a person's heart stop like a heart attack so it's basically FOXDIE

Finally went back to Stella Glow and finished the mission where I had saved myself into an unwinnable position

(Well, a position where it was impossible to do one of the optional objectives because of this stupid kill-sniping angel, anyway)

It's kind of amazing how popular Zero got from MMX1 considering he's in all of four scenes for maybe a combined 90 seconds, but man, those scenes are so cool. It's even cooler if you don't get the X-Buster upgrade in Flame Mammoth's stage because you're just like "whoa this is the power of Zero's Buster"

I mean, his music when he shows up in the intro stage is enough to know he's a badass

It just speaks to quality over quantity. Zero has an excellent design, great theme music, is shown as being clearly superior to X in the intro stage, and has a heroic sacrifice to help save X.

this might be the first game I played where a major good guy died
