Sounds like an awesome way to actually pull the trigger and turn roman heel to be honest. You can easily make him a whiny heel given he has a history of Seth Rollins doing that exact thing to him.

The only problem is we have to sit through another Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns match to do it.

The problem with that is not only the match, but them doing all of this stuff the build up Braun as this unstoppable monster. He calls out Lesnar last night, but then chickens out and then he has to cash in on a weakened Roman to win? Those are heel tactics, not monster babyface tactics. That's hurting what would be around a half years worth of buildup just to make sure Roman still gets to be the guy that beats Brock. If you're going to give Braun a shot, give him an actual shot instead of giving the boost to Roman instead and trying to make it look like you're rolling with Braun.

With how they've built up Braun, it makes more sense for him to cash in one on one instead of post match, unless there's some storyline thing in place that says he can't cash in before X time or something, which would be absurd.

I think I could really get behind a heel Roman if he doesn't talk, and just beats the living hell out of people. He doesn't have anywhere near the promo skills of someone like Joe and he doesn't have the raw strength that Braun does, but he's solid in the ring. Play to his strengths and make him a silent monster heel.

That article is a really good read, and I think it's more right than I want to admit. I hate to think that Vince's stubbornness ruined the guys career, but the reality is that it probably did. That's not going to stop him from making sure Roman is the guy to dethrone Brock and he'll probably keep shoving Roman down our throats anyway because he's out of touch with reality.

Edit: THE SUPERMAN PUNCH. If he drops that it would be great. That is one of the worst things I've seen in 30+ years of watching wrestling, and it annoys me every time I see it. People sell it like they're getting hit by a truck. I remember disliking how much people sold the worm or the peoples elbow, but the superman punch is so much worse.

The WWE heel version of kicking out is getting someone to distract the ref/opponent, and we get that all the time. I'm not really sure that's much better.

We just had heel Jinder as Champion for too long, and every match was the above. Are you saying that's better than if he just kicked out of everything and won clean?

I don't think Heel Roman would be any better. If anything, heel Roman would be even more insufferable at this point because Face Roman now is just him whining or attempting to be a badass. And what could heel Roman be that is any different? And why do we think that means he still won't be shoved down our throats?

And even worse, his matches will still be mind-numbingly boring to the average person. He's shown literally no ability to do something more than three moves as a face and I can only imagine how boring he'll be wrestling heel when wrestling as a face is supposed to excite a crowd. Everyone can talk about how Roman Reigns is so good in the ring, but I don't get that when the best part about him is somebody else's offense 90% of the time and anything involving Roman is just the same tired shit that excites nobody. If he were so good, he could at least get a crowd going. John Cena would even be able to get a crowd that hated him into his matches and popping for him. Roman literally cannot. Nothing he does works. He's just a boring wrestler who offers nothing new compared to any other match he's ever involved in and every story is the same. He sucks.

Roman's actually a passable wrestler when he's not using 800 Superman Punches in a match imo. Like... he started bad, got better, but then eventually his matches turned into Superman Punch spam. Sometime early 2017 I wanna say it hit a critical mass for Superman Punches. Like I remember his early matches with Braun Strowman and world champion Kevin Owens and flunkie Chris Jericho being pretty okay. It's possible he's forgotten how to wrestle without them but I feel like if they were removed from his repertoire outright he would become watchable again.

I think making him actually interesting requires something a bit more drastic than a simple heel turn but that can only help.

So uh, while I want to feel bad for Big Cass, the dude sucked, was in developmental for a year, and deliberately disobeyed Vince in a dumb way for nothing. I honestly think this is no loss at all for WWE. They have many big sweaty men that are more talented than Cass.

Who would have guessed Carmella would have outlasted him and Enzo though?
