Yeah, one of the problems with Wild is that there is not a consistently good resource for it. Secret Mage is good against Warlock and I think it should be pretty good against Kingsbane Rogue unless they get a huge lifesteal immediately. That deck got more popular after someone made a post on the main subreddit to whine about it so that's my wild guess.

oh that actually makes a bit of sense. I remember Kripp making a video a while back when he first started playing Wild and he said it was more diverse at the lower ranks (which I definitely found to be true) while the higher ranked meta tends to be more volatile (starts anywhere from like 15 to 10, which is about where I am now).

so now that I'm remembering all this it actually does make sense that these secret mages came out of seemingly nowhere. basically you would think that the wild format would be more 'settled' but since there are less players and less resources available, the smallest thing can lead to huge shifts in the meta. like if a popular streamer plays a certain deck with a high winrate, lots of people will copy it. I suppose someone complaining about secret mage being too powerful could cause even MORE people to play it (because they want to BE powerful)

Thats easy to top. I once had a druid play The Darkness and I drew all three candles in a row immediately.

Thats pretty much the exact same odds in my spider scenario depending on if you were on coin or not. Im not believing someone coined out the darkness.

It would be during the tgt era because thats when it happened to me. So you only have to worry about tgt and before. Standard didnt start until old gods iirc.

So
Classic + Basic + Naxxramus + GvG + BRM + TGT
And The minions that have been put into hall of fame from that time.

59 + 151 + 25 + 95 + 23 + 100 + 6
Azure Drake, Coldlight Oracle, Old Murk-eye, Sylvanas, Ragnaros and Molten Giant being the 6 HoF cards.

459 minions.

2 / 459 chances to get either tirion or jaraxxus on the first portal
1 / 459 to get specifically the other one on the second

2 in 210,681 to get specifically those 2 over 2 portals.

The chance of getting specifically those 2 in two consecutive games would be those odds squared or:
4 out of 44,386,483,761 (roughly 1 in 11 billion)

But realistically you can just stick with the 2 in 210,681 because that's the chance of the second games portals specifically matching the first games portals, which could have been any two random minions unless you were specifically aiming for Tirion/Jaraxxus from the outset. Because that first game could have been sylvanas and king krush and you'd have been just as impressed if the second game matched specifically those 2.

So it's not a Shudderwock deck, but an Elemental Shaman that just runs it for fun. So I guess it wasn't a free win on turn 2, but turn 6 went pretty well as well. Have to imagine I hit the top two cards in his deck.

I hardly see any Taunt Druids. Half my games are against hunters for whatever reason, and most are spell hunters. Charge hunter is a cool deck that I don't mind losing to, but RNG spell hunter is just stupid.

All I'm seeing are Hunters as well and it's been fantastic playing Control Mage. You board clear their Spellstone and then it's just like "now what?". If they manage to draw Rexxar, you outvalue them with Jaina.

12 in 128. Bottom 9 (at least, I lost before actually drawing her) against taunt warrior. Every single loss outside a couple against hunter are directly due to bad draw. No decision made by either player is factored in any of these games.

So this is where the resident HS whiner hides when he doesn't post on the game board. The easy solution is to spend hundreds like you do on every set while continually blaming losses on anything but the truth, which is your own lack of skill.

I drafted a Warrior deck where my main win condition was for each of my cards to outvalue their cards. I had 3 Draconic Heralds, a Timeway Wanderer, a Wildland Adventurer, and 5 weapons including a Gorehowl. The early cards were really good, too, with two Plated Beetles, and a plethora of great 3-drops. Unless I go up against a super-greedy Priest or something, I'm probably going to win the value game.

So I go up against a Mage. I play a Tanglefur Mystic (give each player a 2-cost minion 3/4) on an empty board. Two turns later, I find out that it gave him Pyros. I still have a Woodcutter's Axe, so on Turn 6, I play the 6-mana 4/10 Taunt that summons a 2-cost minion for my opponent, since I can probably kill it myself. It summons another Pyros. A turn or two later, it becomes apparent I'm not gonna be able to rush him down, so I just go ahead and concede.

Nat Pagle in my brawl pack. This is the third or fourth bad legendary I've gotten from Classic packs in a row. It's karma coming back for all the times I used to disenchant the unplayable legendary cards.

It's crazy because there's a half dozen Classic legendary minions I could actually use too.

Kettch just spectated a spectacularly unfortunate arena match.

It's a rogue draft where Murozond was my first card. So I took a lot of low cost cards, and cards that would help me draw into murozond if I didn't get him early. These include the 4 cost that shuffles your hand back into your deck and the combo minion that draws 2 minions from your deck. I've maximized my chances of being able to play it as early as possible.

So I'm against a druid and the board is in a fairly even state as I'm approaching my Murozond turn. The only unfortunate thing is my hand is actually fairly full at this point from still having coin and from stealing the top card from his deck, but I know it's still the right play and i'll be able to create card space the following turn, I just need to play 3 cards a turn to stay ahead of burning, right? No way he should keep up with that pace...right?

So I start to go off and over the next couple of turns i'm developing quite a board. I had 2 of the "costs 1 less for every card you've drawn" 8/8s that I'm able to play for 1 mana apiece and was generally able to go wide and tall at the same time. My hand is still sitting around 7 or 8 cards though.

And he plays naturalize on one of the 8/8s. Now i'm definitely going to burn some more cards. But my board is still strong, this is fine.

He plays the "shuffle hand back into deck" and draws into... a 2nd naturalize! Now the other 8/8 is gone and i just have a few small to mid sized minions lingering. And I'm sitting at 10 cards before even drawing my 3.

But it's okay, his turn is over and I go wide with 4 additional minions. I still have a few cards left in my deck and this should be fi-

THREE? THREE NATURALIZES!? WHO DRAFTS THREE NATURALIZES?! DID HE SPECIFICALLY TECH HIS DRAFT AGAINST DECKS WITH MUROZOND?! YOU WOULD FALL SO FAR BEHIND AGAINST LITERALLY ANY OTHER DECK. (this was literally my out loud response when that happened)

He followed that one up with a starfall and a swipe (or maybe the swipe came the turn before?) and so not only do i have hardly any part of a board, but I haven't been able to get in enough damage and I don't even have time to build a new board because there are so few cards left in my deck. So I lose to fatigue -_-

0-1 with a deck that I'm still convinced will be good for 10+ wins. It was just an unexpected and almost hilarious way to lose to what appeared to be a terrible deck with my deck that I feel is fantastic.

Lets not forget ulti also said this when he was playing spiteful druid:

The last five cards in my deck last game were Ultimate Infestation x2, Summoner x2, and Grand Archivist.

To which i said:

Replay link?
Because unless i am mathing wrong i think the chance of that happening is 142,506 to 1.

I wouldn't mind if ulti would just say "dang i have bad luck sometimes", but he feels the need to trump it up with the most absurd falsehoods.

He's already shown he keeps replays but can't be bothered to post any that would corroborate his claims. Which you think he would be happy to do if only to point at and say "SEE LOOK" as though the one time he told the truth suddenly makes everything else true as well.

Replay or you are a liar.

Ive said this before, but FD has a learning disorder and cant read past the first grade level: 95% of my Hearthstone play is on mobile. Does a replay option exist on an iPhone? Id happily get a plugin thats trustworthy and post replays if one exists.

I know Ive asked this before but no one responded. Im barely home. Millionaires are, you know, busy making more money and we arent home much. I know things like work ethic and street smarts and social skills dont click with most Board 8 users though so I wont be surprised if this post goes ignored.
