Can all but guarantee the racist crows are out, but knowing Tim Burton the drunk scene could be in.

Has Tim Burton ever cast a POC? Legit question. I can't think of a single one off the top of my head.

timestamp 1:07 has a floating pink elephant bubble, so they're almost definitely still in.

Idk I didn't watch the trailer I was just trying to fit in. Which I guess helps me fit in more.

He cast Billy Dee Williams as Harvey Dent in his 1989 production of Batman.

Dumbo was a pretty bad cartoon that didn't do well in the theater. It's consider as one of the biggest dinsey flops. It's only popular because of nostalgia and the VHS tape. I don't know what they can add to make Dumbo better. The original movie was about an hour long.

This trailer doesn't look Burton enough. I'm not looking forward to this movie.

This is completely false, the movie was well received and made a ton of money considering it was released during ww2

The Black Cauldron and Tron are some of the more notable Disney flops

There was also Fantasia as an initial flop, but it did much, much better with a subsequent release (including, I suspect, being at least partially responsible for the popularization of The Nutcracker).

I cant imagine this will be any good and have zero desire to see it.

Yet I had the same reaction with the Jungle Book trailer and quite enjoyed that, so well see...

Personally I dont enjoy the trend of Disney turning all their animated classics into live action films, but I guess theyre meant for a newer generation

If theyre going to remake them I would rather they do new animated interpretations with new songs

I feel like Tim has been a miss for me lately. Alice in Wonderland was terrible. I don't think I'll see this.
If it gets decent reviews I'll check it out when later.

Him and Johnny Depp both are just in it for the payday nowadays, theyve both done everything they wanted to do in film so now theyre just making movies that their kids can watch and make them bank

1) Racist and offensive insinuation, and a pretty stupid one at that.

2) Depends on what criteria you're using to prove your agenda. However, just within the past five years he directed Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, which had Samuel L Jackson.

I've had mixed feelings towards the trend, but I enjoyed The Jungle Book (more than the cartoon) and Beauty & the Beast so I'm pretty open to them at this point. Kinda enthusiastic about the possibility of the Little Mermaid LA, particularly given news that Lin-Manuel Miranda will have a hand with the music (especially since Moana's soundtrack was great)

Oh right, forgot that was a Disney thing as well. Still haven't seen it.

1) Asking a question is not insinuating anything. Pretty stupid to think that it is, or to think that question is racist.

2) Don't have an "agenda". Again, asking a simple question. When dedbus posted that, I legit couldn't think of a single non-white person that had been cast in a Tim Burton film without looking it up.

tbh Tim Burton's movies are not very diverse in regards to acting. I don't think I would've remembered Billie Dee if it hadn't been posted. Never saw that Miss Peregrine movie.

He cast Michael Clarke Duncan in Planet of the Apes, right?

Anyway, does Burton even do his own casting? I'm sure he has a say, but it may be that he's getting a selection of actors that have already been filtered through his casting department. I dunno.
