I've really fallen behind when it comes to movie announcements in recent years Truth_Decay posted... dedbus posted... Still looks too white. Has Tim Burton ever cast a POC? Legit question. I can't think of a single one off the top of my head. 1) Racist and offensive insinuation, and a pretty stupid one at that. 2) Depends on what criteria you're using to prove your agenda. However, just within the past five years he directed Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, which had Samuel L Jackson. adjl posted... There was also Fantasia as an initial flop, but it did much, much better with a subsequent release (including, I suspect, being at least partially responsible for the popularization of The Nutcracker). Live-action Fantasia, please! Mead posted... Personally I dont enjoy the trend of Disney turning all their animated classics into live action films, but I guess theyre meant for a newer generation I've had mixed feelings towards the trend, but I enjoyed The Jungle Book (more than the cartoon) and Beauty & the Beast so I'm pretty open to them at this point. Kinda enthusiastic about the possibility of the Little Mermaid LA, particularly given news that Lin-Manuel Miranda will have a hand with the music (especially since Moana's soundtrack was great) ASlaveObeys posted... I feel like Tim has been a miss for me lately. Alice in Wonderland was terrible. I don't think I'll see this. If it gets decent reviews I'll check it out when later. Oh right, forgot that was a Disney thing as well.
