I seriously think people are gonna not appreciate the fact that this JUST misses 2018, like it could have been so much later. Even if it came out in 2018 it would have been like November or December so this really isn't that far off.

I highly doubt that or else every store ever would lose money on video games. Like mass effect Andromeda was like 15 bucks a few months later. Unless we are estimating that game companies make way more on their games than they actually do and that they make like $20 a copy on games they sell. That's typically why stores have such limited number of titles or sometimes not even at all, since they're filling from their own stock/warehouse instead of getting any new discounted stock. Stores typically aren't worried about losing money on video games or DVDs. Stuff like that is specifically to get people into the store/online/etc., where the idea is that they'll see other stuff and buy more items that the store does make money on. Also, that's why you can pull the trick of returning games/movies to Walmart and getting full price. It's literally the same UPC and they just change the price for 72 hours or whatever. Once that time passes, the game will scan at full price, so if you return it without a receipt, that's what you get.
