I highly doubt that or else every store ever would lose money on video games. Like mass effect Andromeda was like 15 bucks a few months later.

Unless we are estimating that game companies make way more on their games than they actually do and that they make like $20 a copy on games they sell. I mean last black Friday you had games released a few weeks before selling for $25 for sales.

No, he's right. That's typically why stores have such limited number of titles or sometimes not even at all, since they're filling from their own stock/warehouse instead of getting any new discounted stock.

Stores typically aren't worried about losing money on video games or DVDs. Stuff like that is specifically to get people into the store/online/etc., where the idea is that they'll see other stuff and buy more items that the store does make money on. And that's often why GameStop tends to not have the best sales, I assume.
