I was counting on the Dark Souls remake, but it's trash - a vocal minority ruined it for everyone

So, I'm kinda bummed and have been game-sulking for like 2 weeks.

I already finished the new Tales of Maj'Eyal expansion, and Dungeons of Dredmor keeps crashing on me.

I've mostly been playing Factorio lately. It's a good time, if you're into base-building and logistical puzzles.

Hallow Knight is pretty great. Feels a bit like Dark Souls, Mega Man, and Castlevania tossed into a blender. Very meaty as well for only being $15.

Then you recall that I had to stop gaming on PC because of it. I wouldn't mind suggesting games for this person, but if Steam is necessary then they may as well dump pudding in their PC and get it over with.

I know you love Phantasy Star Online, so I'll go ahead and recommend both God Eater Resurrection and God Eater 2 Rage Burst.

Also pre-order Shining Resonance Refrain.

And just a heads up Killer7 is coming to Steam soon.

I know you like Breath of Fire as well, so I'll recommend Shining Force 1 and 2, even though it's more SRPG, but the story and exploration is similar to BoF.

Due to some sort of crazy glitch like a decade ago, yes. I also recall you absolutely refusing to accept that those problems were an isolated incident that's unlikely to occur these days, now that Steam is a much more stable platform used without incident by millions. I also recall you accusing people of photoshopping in the Offline Mode option and refusing to accept that it exists. I recall you being rather paranoid and irrational as far as your opinions on Steam went.

Don't get me wrong, Steam definitely has its issues these days, but they're pretty much entirely limited to their lack of quality control when it comes to letting games onto their storefront. As a launcher and a distribution client? It's just fine.

I like hard games, since I need to feel accomplished by winning

Other than that, I prefer 2d platformers - mostly due to the rigidity of their control (contrast how perfectly you move in Super Meat Boy/Battleblock Theatre to how loose you are in Dust/Ori)
