One thing that disappointed me about Ragnarok was

Not much explanation on how Hulk got to Sakaar. They could have done the Planet Hulk movie that lead into Ragnarok

The first one is not bad but Ragnarok does everything better, Dark World is possibly the worst of the Marvel films.

They could always do it where it's half the movie as backstory that ties in to a new story.

Third one was good, but I thought it was too unnecessarily funny. It was legitimately funny, but the whole time I was like.. why?

I really liked the first one, but I hated the last boss giant metal guy at the end. Felt very unimaginative and felt like there was no stakes

Thor 1 was OK, it did decently to introduce Thor and friends to us.
Thor 2 is probably one of the worst MCU movies but still not terrible IMO.
Thor 3 was really funny and I like it the most out of the Thor films. Honestly though, they did kinda go too far with the humour and I would've probably like it more if it had a couple of more serious moments.

How was there anything needed beyond what was there? The ship he was on at the end of Age of Ultron flew into space and through a wormhole and ended up there. Theres really not much more to it.

Heck, they even dealt with it thematically. After AoU, Hulk was hated on earth and wanted nothing more than to be lost. Sakaar is the place where all lost things eventually find their way to.

No, they literally CAN NOT.

It's a rights issue. The Hulk rights are tied up with Universal, who apparently have full rights to be the distributor for any future Hulk movie. Disney/Marvel will absolutely not accept that premise, because it means they'd have to split profits with Universal (keep in mind, this is the same company that basically cancelled the Fantastic Four comic and de-pushed the entire X-Men line in spite of being the most popular franchise they've ever had, simply to fuck with Fox). So Disney refuses to greenlight (no pun intended) any Hulk movie, ever, and will just keep shoehorning him into other movies (which is why Thor: Ragnarok was basically 1/2 the plot of Planet Hulk).

The problem is compounded by the relative critical failure of the last two movies, which leaves Disney unwilling to take the risk - if they were ABSOLUTELY SURE a Hulk movie would do huge business, they might be willing to take the profit hit (or at least try to negotiate out of the previous deal in exchange for payoffs). But as is, they assume it would be a losing money scenario, and thus would rather stick with the sure things they already have.

The problem is also compounded by the fact that, as far as I know, the deal with Universal isn't tied to any time limit (the way the Fox and Sony deals were), so Disney can't simply wait for the prior agreement to expire. Universal will hold these rights for pretty much forever until Marvel makes a set number of Hulk movies for Universal to distribute, and since Marvel isn't going to make those movies, Universal will never be able to distribute them, and they'll retain the rights in perpetuity.

(Incidentally, this sort of deal is what fucked the DVD distribution and airing rights for the Doctor Who made-for-TV movie in the 90s, because Fox had control over the rights until a specific requirement was met, and Fox had zero motivation to complete that requirement. The BBC was essentially helpless to force them to comply or forfeit, and at the time the property wasn't seen as being popular enough to be worth renegotiating over - especially since that almost certainly would have involved the BBC having to pay Fox a considerate amount of money - so both sides were perfectly content to let it sit in limbo pretty much forever. It wasn't until the new version of the show skyrocketed in popularity that the BBC considered it worth negotiating over, with an eye towards releasing it to capitalize on the new audience.)

But that's basically why you're never going to see another Hulk movie.
