Poll of the Day > Regarding today's poll, why are so many peeps excited for Nintendo's conference?

Genuine question.
I have no idea what I should expect from them or why one would be excited for it. I mean, they won't have a new console to show as Switch just came out and both Odyssey and Breath of the Wild are somewhat recent entries in their respective franchises, what else is there to look forward to?

The real reason, deep down, is the number of people who want more worth out of their Switches that they bought before there was even a library for it. Some, not all, will even go as far as to "love" anything that Nintendo says or releases, just to say that the system was worth it.

I guess. But I havent really heard anything about it. I just know people went crazy. The reason Im more on the side of it being a port with extra added is because weve already had a bunch. And even though Smash 4 has been out for a good amount of time, it still seems very recently...

Maybe for some. I already knew some games I wanted to buy. I also didnt want to have to wait until I had money again to buy it. Getting enough money to buy a game is easy to save up. For a while system, its a little different. Plus, play BotW anywhere was incentive. But also knowing they were going to have a bunch of fun games. And sometimes, multiple come out at the same time. And it would be harder to buy a system and a bunch of games. Haha.

With a decent screen. And can still be hook-up to a TV. And also, some really fun Indie Games...

I honestly prefer the pre-recorded Digital Events over the live conferences that the other publishers usually have.
They're mostly filled with corporate shit unlike Nintendo's Directs which just gets straight to the point and move on to the next thing without any waiting for people walking onto the stage or listening to some bigshot talking about 'their greatest innovation yet' or whatever.

There is also less chance of technical difficulties or other screw-ups because they don't need to show off stuff like live gameplay or new tech on the stage.

What I'm hoping to hear from Nintendo is that they're going to improve the Switch so that you don't lose all your saved data if your Switch breaks (which I'm told is one of its problems). Between hoping for Switch improvements and possible news for a remake of Diamond/Pearl/Platinum in honor of the 20th anniversary of those games (Nintendo could release them on E-shop or remake them like they did Ruby/Sapphire), as well as stuff on the new Pokemon Switch games and the pokemon movie about to be released, there's a lot to look forward to.

They have announced cloud saves as being one of the features of their paid online service, which is pretty lame when that's the only option for backing things up. If you're already paying to play online, though, that does solve that problem.

DLC? No. Remasters? Not even; in fact that's literally adding a game from another system, even if minor graphical tweaks are made. Not having the other system that a game is on does not make it any more exclusive.

Odyssey is, again, one game for those who want or still care for Mario games. We don't know enough about Metroid Prime 4. BotW was also on Wii U; in fact some people probably bought their Wii U's just for that game before it was pushed back until it ended up additionally on the next system. Interest per individual game might be subjective, but don't fool yourself over these things.

I didnt say they were exclusives, though. So, Im not trying to fool myself. I said what I meant. And I still stand by exactly what so said. And Im still glad I bought the system. Everybody has their reasons for buying a system when they do. And I made the right decision buying mine when I did.

Edit: Also, while it is true that not having the system a game is on doesnt make it more exclusive, it can still give the buyer a reason to buy the system. So, theres that...

Besides, everybody has their own level for how many games a system needs before it has a good enough library... And I had been waiting for a system like this for forever. Haha.

People just like Nintendo games. Theyre fun. I like them more than the other systems. I still like the other systems, though. That being said, I dont cRe to watch E3... But I do like Nintendo gimmicks. Theyre fun for party games. Like Wario Ware for the Wii. And the Wario game on the Wii U was also pretty fun. And the Brain Age game. And I like the aiming for Splatoon...
