Full Throttle 05/12/18 5:46:12 PM #1:	Have you ever crossed a train tracks before to get to a destination? - Results (2 votes) Yes.. 50% (1 votes) 1 No 50% (1 votes) 1 13 y/o Presley Trent and 18 y/o Samuel Rivas were HORRIFICALLY KILLED after they were struck by an AMTRAK TRAIN while taking a popular "shortcut" along the tracks!! They were killed in Chester, Virginia by a train travelling from Georgia to New York as the accident happened before 5pm Locals said they saw people walking on the tracks all the time since it's a popular shortcut but never heard something like this happening.. Police said they were with a group of people standing on the tracks when they were hit. Family said Presley was with 3 other friends using the tracks to get to softball practice The teens were waiting for a freight train to pass in one direction but diddn't hear or see the train approaching on the opposite.. First responders arrived but they were instantly killed as their remains were "NOT IDENTIFIABLE" because of the force of the train that hit them at the speed it was going... Video shows a passenger on board the train to attempt to tell someone of the teens on the tracks but it was too late. Samuel was in the JROTC program at Clover Hill High School as he wanted to join the Marines.. Fair, next. I always use crossings when crossing roads and tracks and if that isn't a option I'm VERY careful when crossing. The point of looking both ways is to make sure everything is cleary and that there is absolutley no danger at all.
