the only network shows I'm currently watching are AoS, Timeless and Bob's Burgers. expecting Timeless to run out of time (again) this year, but have decent hope for the other two. if AoS was ending, they'd advertise it for the ratings boost. I refuse to believe they are still deciding.

TBH Modern Family should just end it this year. It is (IMO) Declined in quality quite a bit to the point where I don't watch it every week but binge a couple at a time on DVR. Same with BBT. Both just need to end next season.

And take out a few scenes of the season finale before they did that and it'd be a perfect series finale.

Hadn't heard that The New Girl was finally ending. I figured I'd wait to watch it when it eventually did. I liked the show episode to episode but the overarching plotlines were stressing me out.

Yeah, this newest season was kind of jarring. It felt like a spin-off but they designated it Season 7. It's a huge bummer because the Season 6 finale worked as a perfect send-off to the show. They got greedy, IMO and it didn't pay off. I don't even dislike this season but as the finale it's gonna be underwhelming.

I thought The Night Shift got cancelled a while ago, like last year. It was pretty bad though. I just have a guilty pleasure for shitty medical dramas. The Good Doctor is absolute ass and has achieved meme-status on med student forums. The Resident is alright. It's pretty over the top as well, but intermittently gets some things exceptionally right.

I don't think anything will ever dethrone Scrubs. House is an honorary mention. Never saw Grey's and ER was before my time.

I was marathoning the show on Netflix. Went in completely blind, got taken and absorbed into it. Had absolutely zero idea Season 7 was gonna be such a drastic change, was nothing I could have done. If I had the knowledge in advance, I would have stopped watching the show before the stinger of the Season 6 finale. 100%. I wish that was my last memory of the show...

Then I wouldn't. From a realism standpoint, it's nothing like modern medicine. House's specialty is made up (although that is true in the show universe as well) and his fellows have way too wide of a scope. They also do every little task delegated by nursing and the rest of allied health. His style of practice too is just hella malpractice.

I contend what makes the show good is the psychology of the characters and how they interact with one another. House's manipulation of Cuddy. His abuse of his fellows. His only functional friendship with Wilson, etc.

If the characters annoy you, the medicine is kind of exaggerated. It's meant to be more of a backdrop.

I'd been watching it since Season 1. I actually didn't watch a lot of 6 since I was worried about how I'd heard they were gonna do a soft reboot and that they were gonna ruin things. Then during the finale of 6 I stared at twitter to find out what was going on, and later watched a clip of the very end, well, before they ruined such a perfect ending. I'd honestly like to watch it with those parts cut out. I kinda get the feeling that that's how they were gonna air it if it didn't get renewed.

Like, gosh, I loved the show, why couldn't they give it a good send off?

Yup, that episode is tainted by the plot-threads for Season 7. I'd love an official edit that cut those parts out but it won't happen. I honestly felt mortified when I started Season 7, having no idea so much of the main cast had left or they were soft-rebooting. It depressed me for a solid week, I wasn't prepared to lose the show.

I don't even dislike Season 7 but it's basically a spin-off. It's now made worse that it got cancelled anyway, such a waste.

I pretty much saw it not lasting long anyway since the ratings had already been in decline for years, and figured a lot of people would feel exactly like I did and not want to have anything to do with it once it became pretty literally a shell of itself. :/

And geez, I never even thought about how it'd effect binge-watchers who hadn't seen it before.

it stars David Boreanaz. it's about elite soldiers on missions. I prefer a similar show on NBC though called The Brave. the only good thing about Seal Team is Boreanaz but the show itself is kinda boring to me. The Brave is awesome though.

Midnight, Texas surprised me. I liked it but I was sure it would probably be canceled. seemed like one of those shows that is cool but only gets one season.
