Hanzo can still instant kill squishies, but he needs slightly better aim to do so now. Hanzos that actually have good aim are gonna be the worst nightmare for lots of players now because he can melt tanks in like 2-3s with his new ability

Yeah, its the rapid fire. He also has new mobility via Lunge or whatever theyre calling it. Its sort of like an aerial Tracer blink and it lets Hanzo cross gaps he previously couldnt. You know that end stretch on Kings Row that has a little hole characters like Pharah and D.Va can fly through to flank? Hanzo can cross that gap now



He can cross the Volskaya gap as well.

Man Junkrat doesnt even need any nerfs. People just need to quit sucking and walking into small rooms/areas hes throwing tons of bombs into, but youd be surprised how many people still do this and get pissed when they get killed by him

Getting killed because someone was spamming on the ground and got lucky isn't fun gameplay. This nerf doesn't stop him from controlling small rooms.

Id blame more of it on poor awareness than luck though almost every character has a luck factor too. Junkrat can control small spaces, but thats pretty much all he does. You can force a switch off him super fast with the right pressure. Overwatch has all kinds of spam and Junkrat is hardly the only offender there, but none of the others are being nerfed and this is like the 2nd or 3rd nerf for him recently. You can only blame so much on luck instead of poor performance

If this Junkrat nerf actually affects anyone more than minimally, they probably sucked at Junkrat anyway.

Probably true, but it still sorta sucks hes being focused on when others have had issues for a long time. Reinhardt Charge and Earthshatter bug fixes fucking when!? Theyve been bugged for probably at least 6 months now....

Junkrat is one of two characters in the game that I would outright remove if I could. His design methodology is "spam from a safe distance and sometimes get kills without needing to aim" - there is zero interaction with him when playing another character outside of not entering a room because there's bombs in the way. He's far from broken but he's a very problematic character as far game health goes.

And if we're mentioning glitches, unless they changed it since I stopped playing, Sombra has had several awful glitches on Translocator that they seemed unable to fix despite it working basically being the same move as Tracer's Recall. Hopefully they saw to that!

They fixed those bugs with her. Also holy fucking shit the new Hanzo is goddamn amazing. Just did some FFA as him and he can pretty quickly rack up several squishy kills. This is even better than Scatter Arrow despite it not killing quite as quickly.

I hope not because that greatly takes away Hanzos damage. I am totally expecting lots of people to cry about the new ability though because it does wonders in good hands

I mean, that's what zoning is. He is the zoner, that's it. That's what the Demo was for in TF2 too.

The problem is that this game has so many mobility options that zoning is really limited and raw dps is a greater deterrent than small annoying bombs.

Its feeling a lot easier to deal with Tracer, Genji and Pharah now with this new Hanzo ability. Also the new Lucio wallride is amazing oh man. Two of my favorite characters being buffed feels so good

Rialto has so many places to hide and so many places to boop. This map feels huge.

I guess it's not uncommon on escort maps, but that last point is hell to defend. I've been on both sides of it, and it aleays took a ton of effort to break it seemed. I only saw one attacker win so far.

I haven't played in forever but the comments here about Junkrat are boggling.

The dude is meant to be area denial. You spam areas with him to keep people from being able to just run through unscathed. That's why there's a ton of characters to counter that and get to him and eliminate him.

I can't comment on the nerf, but it's amazing that people talk about his role without getting it.

As a mei main I can't fight junk. My shots are too slow and require amazing aim while he's spamming and flying in the air

And if I'm close, I can't freeze him because he throws a plate on my head and I die

The ones who are good can be really useful. I mean its a low amount of them, but still >_>

Widow is a mistake of a character. If she's strong she dominates the game to the point where she's in both teams every match and the team with the worse Widow loses. If she's not good then...she's still not fun to play with or against because she has meaningful interactions with almost none of the cast.

There are other characters who sorta fall into some of that too. Id say Pharah does. Why on earth they wanted a character who can fly almost indefinitely when 99.9% of the action takes place in the ground is a mystery to me. Shes only trouble when pocketed, but man is it super annoying because Pharmercy needs like 3 people focus firing them down or burning an ultimate to do so. Its worse with Brigitte because she can almost full heal the Mercy every couple seconds....

Pharah skirts the line yeah. She's similar to Widow in that her elevated, safe position makes it extremely hard for 90% of the cast to touch her, let alone damage her, and Pharmercy just makes it worse. It's the best combo in the game and it takes no skill to pull off.

I'm pretty sure they designed Pharah with Widowmaker in mind. Sniper takes out the flying menace and all that. Unfortunately Widow being good made the game so awful that they nerfed her, leaving the characters as a realistic threat to Pharah being:

Soldier 76
McCree
Torbjorn Turrets

...and that's about it.

76 and McCree are only really threats if Mercy isnt pocketing Pharah or if they use their ultimates to destroy the duo. A good Widow or Hanzo can headshot the Mercy and make the job easier, but theyre much less reliable overall though Hanzos new ability and arrow speed make it a bit easier to hit Pharah and Mercy in the sky

So... new 15$ Mercy skin. Thoughts?

Proceeds go to charity, which is nice. But I don't like the skin that much to want to spend the money, even if it's for a good cause
