I am not sure what you are referring to, but I would assume most attacks, if any, probably likely are in the terms of hypocrisy. In how, a supposed big proponent of #metoo was doing unsavory things himself while also strongly denouncing or attacking others for their actions.

It kind of fuels into the SJW, White Knight, whatever tag of people saying things and condemning things to show a supposed moral superiority while also not doing as they preach, or even not actually having a real conviction in the cause.

There is literally no evidence that they have reneged besides your deep belief that they must have. Furthermore, the deal is not based on trusting the Iranians; it gives us a ton of increased ability to monitor their nuclear activity, and despite that monitoring no violations had been found (and had they been you sure as fuck would have heard about them given how badly Trump wanted the deal to fail).

And then even if you maintain that the deal is bad, it's even more ridiculous to claim that pulling out of the deal is anything other than a disastrous move given the 0% chance that our allies reimpose sanctions along with us.

Your boy Mattis defending the deal's inspection scheme:
https://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2018/04/26/us/politics/ap-us-united-states-iran-nuclear.html

Without explicitly giving his opinion about whether the United States should stick with the agreement, Mattis said that after reading the full text of the deal three times, he was struck by provisions that allow for international verification of Iran's compliance. He said that since becoming defense secretary in January 2017, he also has read what he called a classified protocol in the agreement.

"I will say it is written almost with an assumption that Iran would try to cheat," he said in testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee. "So the verification, what is in there, is actually pretty robust as far as our intrusive ability to get in" with representatives of the International Atomic Energy Agency to check on compliance.

If you are so sure Iran is cheating, then you should want to keep the deal in place. Because then inspectors will discover it (unless you think the inspectors are too incompetent, in which case no deals would ever matter, and we shouldn't even have a deal with North Korea either because they'll just cheat. In fact we shouldn't have deals with any countries over anything, and just assume they're going to cheat)

The United States military played a huge role in containing the last ebola outbreak. There was a really good Pod Save the World where someone (I forget who) talked about how important it was that the Obama administration ignored the media hysteria and focused on getting the job done.

One of the people fearmongering at the time was none other than, you guessed it, Donald Trump. So I guess what I'm saying is that I look forward to an Ebola epidemic to go along with the upcoming nuclear apocalypse!

So if you really define it in practical terms, we are essentially paying Iran billions of dollars for minimal inspections that will not uncover nuclear weapons. A leading theory right now is that Iran has been resuming their weapons development in North Korean sites, which is why the Trump Administration is timing the withdrawal as North Korea appears to be waving the white flag. Couple this turn of events with renewed sanctions and you have a legitimate window to effectively cripple Iran.

At the end of the day, the worst that this withdrawal does is allows Iran to continue developing a weapons program that was never going to be stopped, except removes billions of taxpayer dollars from their military R&D budget.

47 US senators wrote an open letter to Iran, while this deal was being negotiated, warning them that the US president had no authority to make deals binding on the US without ratification in the Senate. Iran was on notice that they never had a deal with the United States, only its president.

Now, withdrawing from the deal will likely make it harder for the president to unilaterally make deals with foreign countries going forward......but that might not be a bad thing for the United States.

Do you really think that foreign countries make a sharp distinction between the two and that reneging on a deal in the latter category won't hurt the credibility of future deals in the former?
