PMarth2002 04/12/18 1:59:33 PM #7:	When I moved to Lafayette TN, I tended to pronounce it differently than the residents or the people who lived in nearby towns. I break up the word into three syllables, La Fay et. The residents say it with the last two syllables stuck together and pronounced 'it' instead of 'et' I don't think either is wrong, but its a very noticable difference. I still tend to pronounce it the same, although I did catch myself saying it the local way on ocassion. --- And as her clothes all tumbled 'round her, I could hear my heart The moonlight shown upon her as she lay back in my bed <cite>PMarth2002 posted [p:899533154] in Anyone els...
