The first AA was not nearly as unfair as people warned me to be lul. I did game over like 3 times over the course of all the cases, but it wasn't too bad

I mostly meant plotwise because prosecutors have so many absurd advantages over defense attorneys in the Ace Attorney world. The games themselves are pretty manageable without a guide, though sometimes you run into those situations where you need to present a very specific piece of evidence and it isn't immediately apparent what it is.

Yeah I think there were 2-3 things that I had to just guess blindly, or I'd know the answer but don't know what to present to get there. That's what I like about the later AAs that it's more obvious what you have to show if you know the answer.

And yeah, they also talk about how garbage Japan's (or America's?) justice system is. And the goddamn judge very frequently teeters between being competent and outright intrusive to the case

I remember one case in the first game forgot which one where i had to do that, just randomly present evidence because it wasn't even relevant to what was being asked...

I think just the Investigations game isn't on 3DS and the second one that was never localized. Everything else is on 3DS, with the first three games from the DS-era bundled into a trilogy.

The trilogy goes on sale every now and then so you can wait for that if you want.

The first 3 got a collection on mobile and 3DS. 4, 5, and 6 are also on 3DS and mobie, but each of them are standalone.

The prequel game Dai Gyakuten Saiban is Japan only, but there's a fan translated playthrough on Youtube.

I'm getting back into Splatoon 2, does anyone else play?

I played Splatoon 1 probably for like 300+ hours on Wii U and played Splatoon 2 a ton when it came out but then stopped for a few months. Looks like they added a new mode, Clam something.

I'm always torn because I wanna get back into it but dread trying to get my groove back. Went to about A+ rank on a few modes I think? but I remember I kept cracking the meter =_=

Yeah, I know I'm going to take a while to get back into it. I think I was S in Tower Control and Splat Zones, A+ in Rainmaker. Definitely going to drop a few probably. I'd actually prefer that since S gets a little intense from what I remember.

It's been getting so hard to get gems... I'm making a poor choice to dive into the new mini-box, but maybe not. I'm resetting every time I get Gigaplant and Hey Trunade. Hey Trunade being the best spell for like more than half of the viable deck list and Gigaplant having played TCG during the era this card was good and knowing it has a lot of longevity.

It's kinda weird people remember Neos Alius as the only good gemini in the original to 5d's era, when Gigaplant was at least actually used for its gemini effect competitively because of how broken it made Lonefire Blossom

Watched 4 episodes of made in abyss

Impression:

- beautiful art and animation. Simply fantastic.

- music is great. Remind me of falcom games somehow with the mix of pianos, guitars and violin somehow. Awesome stuff.

- the characters are great. Everyone acts pretty realistic and likeable.

-the abyss itself is intriguing imo, and even early it has quite alot of dark tone despite being ghibli esque artstyle. Like jesus, they are sending fucking children to a death trap.

And that much orphans means the abyss swallwed quite alot people. Scary stuff.

I am lovin is so far.
