Seriously, I could actually watch JL again, I almost fell asleep 3 times watching BP.

Really wanted to leave a few times but stuck it out because I kept thinking...this has to get better...there will be more superhero stuff soon etc.

JL wasn't on the level as Wonder Woman (might be my favorite DC movie so far actually, already saw it twice), but.......I liked it better then quite a few marvel movies (All the Captain Americas for instance, Ant man etc).

In general all the reviews and word of mouth I heard about JL was that it sucked. The opposite was said to me about Black panther.

Just doesn't make sense to me.

Thanks,

Yeah, considering the opinions I heard before I saw it, I doubt they will either.

I just don't get it.

There was humor in JL....Barry was seriously funny, even aquaman was both semi-cool and funny to some degree.

Though Afleck actually did a decent job as batman this time, wasn't as wooden.

Even almost liked (almost) superman this time. Seemed less.....deadpan...had a bit more emotion etc.

Wasn't GREAT, wouldn't say everyone needs to see it etc...but I actually enjoyed it.

Black panther was a chore to watch for me sadly.

Sorry, the hero makes a diff to me and never been an ant man fan. Same with Cap, just dont' like the hero so you can do amazing things with their movie and I still won't like it.

That is what made wonder woman so amazing, as she is another hero I have never been a big fan of, but I really liked that movie.

She was also great in JL btw.

I will give ant man another shot some day, it wasn't horrid or made me want to leave (like black panther), it just didn't grab my attention either, mediocre is what I would call it.

tbh, Ant-Man is one of the few Marvel movies I kinda kick myself for not watching when it might have briefly been on NFI. It looks like a lot of fun. Then again, I'm one of the only people on the planet who enjoyed NFI's Iron Fist so...

I've liked the character largely thanks to the old Lynda Carter series and JL/U. Also helps that Gal Gadot is a total babe.

Hey I've never been afraid to be controversial, if I don't like something I'm gonna say it. I don't understand all the love for BP. I can kinda understand some of the complaints about JL....although I didn't notice the cgi lip etc on superman at all (my eyesight isn't that great so maybe that makes a diff). I don't get the love for BP though...just didn't work for me.

Honestly BP was not memorable enough for me to really break it down but......

Seemed like there was almost no super hero stuff going on for the whole movie. Had a car chase scene and a few "tribal" battles where he even lost his super powers (not that they are really super, like Cap, he's just enhanced).

The "futeristic" tech was....like 10 years in the future lol (not our future but the marvel universes future) at this point, certainly nothing amazing.

There was little to no humor at all throughout the show, and none of the characters were likable (villians or heros).

The villian was.....not even really a freakin villian, but more just like a ...well don't wanna spoil anything just not a good villian.

Kinda felt like I was watching a Marvel version of the Lion King but I would have WAAAAY rather rewatched the lion king.

See that is what everyone said. Heck I was on here only a month ago or so, it may have been reviews on here that kept me from seeing it in the theators.

Now mind you, I might not be as impressed/favorable of JL if I had not just watched BP last week and hated it.

Compared to BP, JL was freaking great.

But there was some really stupid things when I look back at it, especially at the end.

Not a masterpiece, but BP just did not sit well with me, and sadly that makes the next super hero movie I watch shine way more brightly then it normally would.

I haven't watched it yet. They should have probably not separated the movie universe from the TV universe though. Also I will never agree with them removing Martian Manhunter for Cyborg. That's just moronic.

The goofiness is often part of the charm. Speaking of stuff that aged badly, I'm surprised by how awful Hercules TLJ and Xena look now. Granted, a lot of the problem is the heavily-dated CGI.

Hercules I agree, it's pretty hard to watch until later at least (does seem to get better as you go, after they started Xena and cross overs etc).

Xena I still like over all, it's similar to Buffy and Angel, I can watch buffy but dont' feel it aged that well, but I still really enjoy watching angel.

I do like goofiness, and humor in my super hero shows. Best super hero effects/show in the world without any humor and I'll feel it was missing something.

I think I saw Ant man fairly soon after guardians of the galaxy and to a lesser extent Avengers AoU. Both of those movies were good (GoG waaay better), and comparing ant man to GoG is really unfair.

I probably would have enjoyed it far more at a different time.

Same could possibly be said for Black Panther considering I really liked the last Thor and the Spiderman movie was great as well, but no....in this case I would never have liked Black Panther. Much like it doesn't really matter when the Captain America movies come out....i'm not going to like em anyway (Didn't even watch most of winter soldier or it was like background noise or something).

Ant man though deserves another shot...and I will give it one before the second movie comes out for sure.

I still need to see AoU although casting James Spader as Ultron seems distracting, particularly given his recent starring role in The Blacklist. Also haven't seen GoG, although I picked up the BR a while back. Only real problem issue is that I don't have a real BR player, I just have my ps3 and the monitor I use for it is currently propping up my favorite laptop since it's half-busted (part connecting the screen and the other part has snapped off) and I've never bothered trying to get it repaired because, well, meh.

GoG is totally worth it.

Couldn't rewatch AoU although I thought it was good the first time. It's not horrid, but I liked for instance wonder woman more (saw that twice already).

GoG is really popullar, and was my wife's favorite movie of all time. She would have loved to see GoG2. I've seen it....3? times already and wouldn't mind watching it again already.

GoG2 on the other hand....shrug it was good....nothing horrid, but I have not rewatched it and don't really have the urge to. I'd rather watch the first one for the 4th time then the second one still.

Thors were all pretty good honestly, last one I think was the best or at least I really enjoyed it.

Iron mans are not horrid...for a hero I normally don't like, and an actor I've never really been a fan of.....they did a good job to make me not hate them actually.

Can't stand captain America....I try....I really do, just don't like him.

I did much better with Batman......I have seen all the batman movies (at least once)...and didn't HATE any of em.....but Cap America is just like plain unbuttered stale bread to me honestly.

Dr Strange was actually quite good...but I loved him in the last thor more then in his own movie lol.

Dr Strange and Wonder Woman...both enjoyed.....neither are heros I normally like.....shows how much you can do with a good movie.

I think the super hero movies that got me more emotionally invested ended up being the better ones for me. BP got me invested in the tragedy of Killmonger's life which led to his messed up psych. Civil War had me feelin' for Tony's discovery of how his parent's died and I can understand why he wanted to kill Bucky but I also wanted Bucky to live. Guardians of the Galaxy part 2 got me with the Yondu part at the end. Those were probably my favorites.

Yeah, I liked them as well honestly, especially surprised at Afleck after BvS tbh (and for that matter Henergy Cavil as I didn't like him as superman at all).

But I really liked Barry in this case, he was kinda the comic relief which was nice to see. Gadot though....is just perfect for that role....she shines in JL as well and I really can't wait for a wonder woman 2.

As surprised with her as I was at liking the new Bruce Bannor. Never been a fan of the hulk either (watched the original tv series and all the movies).

They are really changing my opinion on some of the characters by making such good movies with them. Sadly that did NOT work for captain america or Black panther for me, but for the most part all the rest of them (excepting Green Lantern) have worked pretty well.

I was really disappointed when I heard Edward Norton wasn't returning because I didn't think Mark Ruffalo would be able to pull it off. Honestly now I'm glad it's him.

I thought the first Captain America was boring but the two after were amazing. Ezra Miller as Barry is just different than what I expected. He seems more like a Wally West.

I liked them both. Both stood had merits and faults. BP had less pressure on it since it's a Marvel movie and they have nothing to prove. DC's track record put JL into a very critical spotlight. The only thing that really rattled me in JL was the cgi super stache replacement. It was...unnerving.

It was alright

1/2 the movie was Casino Royale which felt really out of place (if Tony Stark went undercover to a casino to stop a potential sale of his tech, you'd be scratching your head)

and the other 1/2 was about a jealous de-throned king who got his butt kicked in a fair fight and wanted revenge so badly that he, his family and close friends broke centuries worth of tradition to get it.

Even thou the bad guy killed to get to Wakanda (while working for the CIA...? "He's one of ours") he deserved the crown, even if he wanted to wage war, he had every right to as rightful heir to the crown..

I think I enjoyed Dr. Strange more

Nope, just my honest opinion.

Not the norm, but I don't have to like the same things as everyone else.

I'd rate Black Panther as one of the worst Marvel shows I have seen, even under the Cap America ones I made it through or tried to watch.

I wouldn't rate JL that much higher, but it's a world of difference just the same.

I enjoyed and was happy I saw JL, I forced myself to sit through Black panther and would not have if I didn't see it in the theater.

If you liked Black Panther, or Lost in Translation or The Lobster, or tons of other movies that are very popular that I didn't like, I am very happy for you.

More things you can enjoy the better.

Doesn't change the fact I didn't like it at all though.
