i don't think most people trolled him over it. there was some drama about after her passing because he had been here before she passed. just how fast he seemed to be moving on but that passed pretty quickly.

overall he was generally well accepted albeit extremely LONG WINDED

I rarely notice when somebody disappears, but then if I see their name it hits me. I go "oh, yeah!" aloud and then think about it. Every time.

Totally strange. I hadn't logged into Gamefaqs for a few weeks and just randomly clicked on it today.

The reason why is simple, I started to mud again about a month ago, which is an online text based mmo, but with social aspects. Basically it's like POTD with everyone constantly killing monsters and leveling up etc.

So was focused on that pretty much full time, also dealing with getting rid of the last roomate (man that was a drama) etc. Now I'm about to go on a trip and a cruise (to the bahamas!!), so I won't be on for awhile again.

Not going poof, just had stuff going on, and probably will for the near future. I'll try and check in more often and not only when you all send out some weird psionic message for me to log in or something (that is so crazy).

Gave up on dating at least for the near future btw, just to crazy out there and i'm not ready for it, or even sure if i'm gonna stay in Washington. Thinking of selling my house and just driving across america till I find somewhere I fall in love with.

I have 2 ipads, I'll load up with a gazillion fantasy/sci fi books, tons of portable game systems (I'll bring one ps4,Wii U/switch etc with me as well).

That is my tentative plan after I get back, work on getting my house on the market and then just drive!!!

I had to give the last roomate a 20 day notice, after she threatened to kill herself originally (back in December) so I let her stay till the end of Feb at the latest. Gave her a 20 day notice at the start of Feb to ensure she was gone by the end of the month. Still have her cat (she is supposed to find somewhere for it before I leave on my trip) and some of her stuff in my house.

She didn't pay any utilities or rent etc since the start of the year as well, and used a heater nonstop to the utilities went up about $400 a month. Net loss from letting her stay past Jan 1st was almost $2000.

In the end it'll probably be the push I needed to decide to actually sell the place though, and start a new life somewhere else. Too many memories, all me and Linda's stuff are here and I'm just not moving forward well enough here.

I could give it another year or so and see if I find a job I really like, or meet some good friends etc, but I think I'm just gonna call it, and look for a place that just calls to me, isn't too expensive and where I can find a non-stressful job where I help people, teach, or do something I love like cooking for the rest of my life.

Done with all the stress and worry, so no more owning a home. I'll rent wherever I go I think. That'll give me plenty of money to retire on anyway, so I can just look for a job I love.

Nah, not going after her for money or anything, just want her to move forward with her life and be happy, and certainly don't want the responsibility of keeping her alive etc.

As far as money, I would be doing WAY better if I hadn't had roomates, I'll be fine without them. It was a big mistake, but honestly wanted company more then anything else. Advertised for gamers and a roomate/friend situation, but it just didn't work out very well. I had good solid friends in my 20's who were responsible, but in this case I had a group of current roomates that had to move quickly and I didn't get a chance to really know them before they moved in. They were all strapped for cash, and I can't take money from someone who is broke. Ended up losing more money then I gained from having them here at all......but it was certainly a learning experience.

Wish them all the best of luck though and did my absolute best finding them new places to live, didn't charge them last months rent to help them move on (or utilities), and helped them find places/move etc.

Did everything I could to make their lives better, and now I'm done. I am not going to be responsible for anyone else, and plan on focusing only on myself for at least a long while. Time to stop saving the world and putting other people first, and start actually relaxing and enjoying life.

Mudding is basically me giving up on life lol...which isn't really a good thing.

I have stopped again and hope this vacation is going to jump start me a bit.

I mudded non-stop 14 1/2 hours a day on average the year before I met my wife.
At the end I realized I was wasting my life and not accomplishing anything and stopped
cold turkey. Ended up meeting my wife 6 months later and didn't mud since then 1999.

Went this last year trying to make a life, friends, find interesting hobbies etc. Started playing magic the gathering again etc. But it was constant work trying to keep occupied/entertained. Then this last bit with a roomate who I didn't trust and would take things if you were not looking, ended up having to stay home all the time for the last month.

Since I was stuck at home, I started mudding to keep myself occupied etc. Ended up playing maybe 16 hours a day or so (and still didn't make the top 10 players on the mud as far as hours played).

Alot of them script now though, letting a program play for them, so it's not really the same. That being said, you can mud from cell phones, so yeah, you could pretty much mud every single hour you don't sleep (and I can sleep only 2-4 hours still even at my age if i really want to).

Along with the cruise I'll be heading to NY for a family reunion and my grandfathers 90th birthday. I'm hoping that will help motivate me. May move somewhere or even just travel till I find the right place. Doing the whole, restart my life thing yet again lol. Only difference is i'm way older, not as motivated, jaded and tired.

Really have no interest in a career at this point, just would like a job that interests me and makes a difference. No need to own a home etc, too much drama/worry/taxes etc, just want to find somewhere I love to live, maybe someone to love and share my life with if we really click (but no longer going out of my way for that), and most importantly somewhere with lots of food that I look forward to eating (I am a great cook, but cooking for yourself at least for me is usually not worth it...I'd rather eat out etc, or I just make something easy like a sandwich at home).

2016 was bad...but had good parts, 2017 pretty much just sucked donkey balls. Here is hoping that 2018 will take an upswing. It started off pretty harsh for the first 2 months, but things are looking up now:)

tbh, that's why you really don't want to rent to people in their 20s. If 30s are the new 20s, that means 20s are the new teens =p
