It would barely affect my job performance. Going blind would incapacitate me completely. People my age do not adjust well to losing sight. It would not be easy to overcome. Being deaf would be easier but I would kill myself. I'll pick being blind. People treat blind people like infected zombies, they wouldn't really want to talk to you.
