There must be one movie that caused you to fall asleep in theatres...which was it?

It was War for the Planet of the Apes for me...i know people loved it but there was a lot of parts that dragged....

Ducky, I'm going to say something that's going to blow your mind: falling asleep during a movie has more to do with being overly tired than it has to do with finding a movie boring. It was a lot more "I didn't sleep well the previous night" and a lot less "even as a kid, I was a hipster who was too cool for dinosaurs. Gotta' love me!"

I went to see Snowden with a friend but almost feel asleep (friend woke me) because of all the drawn out parts about his relationship with his girlfriend which I really didn't care about. At least 1/2 of the movie is about his rocky relationship with his girlfriend due to his work to the point it felt like I was watching a romance drama (which is not what I went in to watch).

I was too appalled by how poorly written it was to fall asleep. I was constantly raising my arms in the air thinking "what"?

This started at the very beginning of the movie when Poe Dameron is doing his prank call and the First Order is for no reason is trying to talk to him instead of shooting him when they came there to kill all of them.

I'm not a star wars person to begin with, but that shit was sooooo fucking boring. Little pew pew here and there to wake me up but most was just "blah blah women are better than men". This dude from work had to elbow me a couple times because I was snoring.

My friends thought it was a great idea. I didn't but they insisted...so I gave in. I did NOT have a good time. It was akin to torture and sometime after half an hour, I dozed off. I did however woke up upon that scene where the guy just...shone and shimmered like a gem or something and that made me laugh hard..! Probably the best scene in that movie. Heheh...silly, silly.

"The Da Vinci Code"

Having never read the book (there are dozens of books people say I should read) I expected a different experience, but I wasn't expecting to wake up to the SUDDEN REALIZATION that Mary Magdalene was Jesus' wife and Tom Hanks' character's companion (gotta love the English language) was a direct descendant of Jesus the Christ.

Normally stuff like that keeps me riveted, but maybe it's because it took so long to GET there and the fact that I had been shoveling snow for about 6 hours straight, I was more likely needing a nap (which I got).

I fell asleep watching the second or third purge movie in theatres. The movie was good but I was exhausted the day I saw it.

I wanted to like it but I came to the realization that I liked Star Wars for the light/dark side stuff and the Jedi lightsaber battles, not the ship battles or the blaster/gun fights

The first Toby maguire spider man movie (although I fell asleep during my second viewing).

Perfect Storm, Apollo 13, and one of the Brendan Frasier Mummy movies although, in the Mummy's defense, I was pretty tired that day. Perfect Storm was just boring 15 minutes into the hour-long disaster portion (which, given that nobody survived, it was both overly long and pointless -- not to mention that, for a movie based on a true story, almost everything that happened when the ship sank was likely made up).
