good luck dude, being British gives you a leg up from every doofy-ass American wannabe streamer.

Gil, or Gilded both work!

And yeah, I can't accept the Prime sub until Twitch finish checking all my tax info, which is the process currently underway.

It hasn't yet, I'm more stressed by stream maintenance than actually "performing", monitoring my sound levels, ensuring I'm sending the right data, swapping scenes and overlay materials midstream and remembering to turn the light on as it gets dark, because that's not something I'm used to.

Performing to an empty audience is tough when there's no feedback from chat, but you have to maintain it for when people to come in. If there's any feedback at all, I find it very easy, because my stream persona is very much who I am. I've also always been a good salesman and it's most of the same skills: confidence and the ability to keep talking. That's what I excel at.

Also, my start time creeps up on me out of nowhere and the 5 minutes before I go live are a manic rush of plugging in cables, realigning things, filling my glass to drink onstream and whatever.

My spending breakdown on what I consider to be necessities for the last year is

Per month:
$550 - Rent
$250 - Food
$60 - Phone

Rent including all bills, council tax, water, internet, gas, etc.

Cutting down my expenditure on the things I enjoy will suck, but I'm viewing as an acceptable cost to start and grow a new business that I'll enjoy.

But I also expect the stream to grow beyond that to a more reasonable wage.

1.0 and 2.0. Basically up to the end of Coil of Bahamut. Then people got lazy after we cleared Bahamut

It wasnt big enough to make big money off at the time as we looked into it and decided it wasn't worth trading off progression secrets.

I made over $20k when I sold off items and gil when I quit FFXI so I'm sure our streams would have raked it in. Then Abyssea came like 6-9 months so it was perfect timing really as was able to jump back in and get back up to elite stupid quick.

Good luck! I'd watch you play Rocket League, but as other east coast Americans, you're streaming while I'm at work and can't watch. I did check it out once when I had the opportunity.

So, do we still call you Tera here, or do we have to call you GildedFool?

Ever been to a nice restaurant with a significant other? Yes. Pretty easy to drop 100 per person + tip.

As Seph said, if you can make 12K work, more power to you though. I think I spend 250 on groceries/lunch alone a week, let alone going out.

It's easy to spend that per person at a good place with wine. Unless my fiancee and I are eating pizza or something, $250 is a slightly above average cost dinner out for us both.

I assume to where he lives on mortgage/rent, utilities, investments, retirement. If you are spending 1k a month on food for 1 person, and also spending like $250 to go out to eatat times then you are spending ludicrously.

Okay, here's the thing. Depends on how much he's making and what exactly he's getting in terms of the food and drink.

If it's really extravagant stuff, he could probably cut back on that and spend more on things to improve his living space or himself. Renovate the home, buy some workout equip, idk whatever piques his interest. Over-extravagant food expenses are a tad bit wasteful to indulge in often.

If it's healthy stuff and he just gets a lot of ingredients and his most trusted products for his well-being cost a bit more (organic stuff and shit like that), then you could probably say he's spending it optimally.
