Robazoid 03/19/18 4:48:10 AM #451:	Just finished episode fourteen of Sword Art Online, which felt like a natural stopping point for today. It's been kind of generic at times and there are a lot of missed opportunities regarding neat stuff they could be doing with this concept, but overall this still isn't bad. I went in without knowing anything so the fact that they're out of the game now is... huh. I'm really curious about where they go from here. If I were them I'd never play another mental game after such a traumatic experience so I'm going to be disappointed if the next arc is just 'hey now that our crazy adventure is over let's try this other game whoops it happened again lol'. I'm only recently aware of the negative backlash towards SAO. I like to think I've mellowed out in terms of rage towards bad anime in the seven+ years I've watched anime. I used to get so angry at stuff and wonder why xyz don't get more seasons and why zyx got more seasons when it's bad. The more great shows I see, the less I'm willing to give mediocrity a pass. Generally I don't specifically get mad when bad shows get popular, but it's more when those same people skip over actually good shows simultaneously. In SAO's case I went in with extremely low expectations hoping to come out pleasantly surprised because, hey, gotta be popular for some reason right? As a result it was a huge kick to the face when it was significantly worse than I expected. In SAO's case I went in with extremely low expectations hoping to come out pleasantly surprised because, hey, gotta be popular for some reason right?
