Here I am trying to make macaroni and hotdogs and I reach for the macaroni and IT'S A FUCKING EMPTY BOX

Kraft mac and cheese and hot dogs is the best poor person food out there

a box of Kraft is $1, you can get a pack of 24 hot dogs for $4 (one pack of kraft pairs with about 3 hotdogs, so that's $.50)

so for $1.50 you get a meal that's easy to make and filling and serves as pretty decent comfort food

smoked sausage is the best but it's also more expensive, plus I like to mix it up a bit. Shrimp is even more expensive

ground beef I tend to go for but I usually get the bulk packages of like 3 or 5 pounds and then freeze most of it, and then it's just the hassle of thawing, which I don't always do because I often don't know what exactly I'll be eating until that day

People with ready access to food will tend to experiment, and in their experimentation, come up with awful ideas that work for them.

And then they pass on those ideas down to their children, or spread it among friends and family, and it ends up being a cultural icon.

So in other words, the quality of the food lies in the tongue of the taster.
