We've all been trying to figure this out quickly. Best I got so far, Sam Nunberg was a former Trump aide that left or got fired in 2015. Roger Stone was a mentor of his, and it sounds like Nunberg is defensive about giving up his emails with Stone as well as Bannon...but Mueller thinks Nunberg is important enough to subpoena him. I'm not sure if Mueller was wanting his emails with those two before, but I'm certain he wants them now.

CNBC - Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway violated Hatch Act in TV interviews, federal investigators say

The office said that on November 20, Conway appeared in her official capacity on Fox News's Fox & Friends "and discussed why voters should not support Democrat Doug Jones in the Alabama special election for U.S. Senate."

"On December 6, 2017, Conway appeared in her official capacity on CNN's New Day and discussed why voters should support Republican Roy Moore and not Democrat Doug Jones in the Alabama special election for U.S. Senate," the office said.

Jones ended up winning that race.

"While the Hatch Act allows federal employees to express their views about candidates and political issues as private citizens, it restricts employees from using their official government positions for partisan political purposes, including by trying to influence partisan elections," the report says.

An adviser to the United Arab Emirates with ties to current and former aides to President Trump is cooperating with the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, and gave testimony last week to a grand jury, according to two people familiar with the matter.

Mr. Mueller appears to be examining the influence of foreign money on Mr. Trumps political activities and has asked witnesses about the possibility that the adviser, George Nader, funneled money from the Emirates to the presidents political efforts. It is illegal for foreign entities to contribute to campaigns or for Americans to knowingly accept foreign money for political races.

This was my first thought too, it almost sounded like an attack ad that was intended to prop up one opponent over another, kind of like those ads that were like "Bernie Sanders hates the super rich, is he TOO LIBERAL?" or whatever

Banning AR-15's isn't really the answer though. The problem is the easy access to guns, and our culture that practically worships guns. And people can try to blame video games for the gun worship, except I'm pretty sure most NRA members have never played a video game in their life, unless it was developed by the NRA I guess.
