So you're in the second to lowest tax bracket already and you're complaining about only making $45 more per month?

Liberals can complain how bad these tax cuts are all they want, the fact of the matter is struggling families will see a bigger paycheck thanks to it. When youre in that position youll gladly take what you can get. Its easy saying how bad these tax cuts are from the sidelines, but ~$100 extra a month can make a tangible difference for burdened families

No one is complaining about tax cuts for struggling families.

People are complaining about millionaires and billionaires getting huge cuts at the expense of important government programs.

Compromise is the name of the game in politics. What do you care more about, helping struggling families or making sure billionaires dont get more tax cuts? In a perfect world it wouldnt be one or the other, but it certainly is in ours.

That's fucked up.

My company announces the new health insurance rates each beginning of February (they always absorb the increases so our premiums don't change). One concern I've seen since the bill was passed was health insurance rates could go up.

Don't take my $45, you bastards.

Over time, sure. But what about that struggling families right this very moment? Are you willing to risk it for the fruits of a longer term strategy at the expense of those who need some financial relief immediately? Easy for us from the sidelines to speculate, but for a legislator its not so easy when you have to think about your constituency, many of whom would rather take the tax relief right now because they really need it

If it truly leads to an overall upturn like they claim it will then I'm not really going to complain. Logistically it doesn't make much sense to me to cut taxes for the top and expect that to trickle down fully.

This is why Trump is gonna win reelection.
No matter what names the dems call him or how many times they scream racist, people will look back at the raise they got and vote for Trump.

And what's really genius is that the tax plan completely screws over blue states... which werent going to vote for him anyway.

Us Walmart employees will now start at $11 per hour, so if you are making less than that now, they will bump you up to $11 on top of your normal raises and bonuses. If you have been there for 20+ years, they give you $2000 on the way down to five years, which is like $200.

It shows how misconstrued people's priorities are. They'd rather have someone like Obama who's a smooth talker but does nothing useful and ruined healthcare over someone like Trump who's kind of gruff and sometimes makes impolite comments but is actually making people's lives better.
