Everywhere I go, I'm the guy that doesn't fit in. People talk about drinking, going to clubs, having sex, and when they find out that I don't do any of that stuff, I'm pretty much the freak. I've had several opportunities to be with girls who aren't Christian but never pursued them because we have conflicting beliefs. Even some girls who said they were Christian are okay with sex before marriage which is something that the Bible clearly speaks against.

I feel like I don't belong in this world.

I don't really have fun. Or at least, not enough to say I have a regular output for having fun. Interacting with people at work is probably the only fun I have. When I'm not at work, I just sleep, make music, watch movies, or take walks.

It sounds like you are expecting people to conform to your way of living. That is not going to happen, so I would advise one of the following; Attend Christian mixers, they are fairly numerous and you will increase your social circle. Secondly, when going out with your friends clubbing, volunteer to be the designated driver. This way the social stigma of not drinking will be lessened, and you friends will appreciate the effort you would put in to the relationship.

As for sex, well... there are many definitions and loopholes in this regard.

Nah, that's not it at all. I don't expect people to conform to my way of living. I'm not even angry at anyone. I'm just stating how my beliefs are alienating in this society. Though I do think I'd feel much less alienated if I didn't have such a sheltered childhood.

Well yeah, no one is without sin, thats something the Bible hammers home. But it sounds like youre actually trying to follow the Bible to the best of your ability. Hahaha I want to make it clear that I don't believe it's a sin to go to a club. It's moreso the lifestyle that it represents. Many people basically live for the party life. Which includes getting wasted, doing drugs, having sex, etc. And I'm not about that.

In all fairness, it's quite easy to live a mostly Christian life that's fun, as long as you don't expect extreme hedonism. And let's be honest; you're going to break the rules everyday without even realizing it, but that's why it's great that God is forgiving, right :D

Or hell, maybe you do realize you're going against what the Bible says and just can't help yourself. I saw this super hot Asian chick today in booty shorts and God knows my eyes stayed glued to dat ass much longer than they should have...Still, I have no regrets :3

Fair. I know a bit about religion and a couple of my friends were talking about how cool this one church they went to was, partly because it had an ATM. I just said "oh, like the money changers Jesus threw out?" They got all awkward defending it because it was "for collection" and I said "yeah, but there are definitely service charges..."

A while later I asked one of them how their new church was going and he looked down and said "we don't go there anymore" and then I heard him badmouthing it on and off for the next couple of years. It was funny.

That's really great that you're sticking to it. I'm a Christian myself, and I always wanted to wait until marriage for sex. It just seems like a gesture of love, being willing to commit your life to someone because you love them, regardless of how they perform in bed.

Things have been wearing heavily on me the last few years though. I realized I'm almost certainly never going to get married, or even have a girlfriend. While I think I'd still be ok waiting until marriage if I can miraculously find someone who wants to marry me, I think I'd be just as ok having sex if I can manage to get a girlfriend at all. Although, I probably wouldn't want to jump straight to that at all. I'd definitely still prefer waiting rather than just have a fling or something. Idk, it's just stressful and confusing, and idk exactly how I'd react if someone actually showed me that kind of attention. I wish I had your strength to still be commited to that idea despite it looking hopeless.

Are you trying to follow rules or have you actually been saved? You don't become a Christian by "trying to do well" or "following all the rules of the Bible." And seeking approval and advice from the world is a bad place to start.

They may "identify" as Christians, but they certainly aren't. I Corinthians 6:9-10: "Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God."

All of those things are unbelievably overrated, and you shouldn't feel like you're missing out on them just because you aren't doing them.

The best times I've had with friends have been hanging out with friends and watching movies, going for walks, playing board games, eating good food, drinking soda, telling jokes, exploring the city, etc. None of these activities involved any of the things you mentioned.

I think you just need to find one or two phenomenal friends who you love hanging out with, and a girl that thinks the way you do.

But in any case, I definitely 100% can tell you that those things are extremely overrated by people who hype them up since they have nothing else to hype up. No relationships or hobbies worth mentioning, etc. The coolest people (including girls) I've hanged out didn't make those things a priority at all.

I am actually saved. The reason why I put emphasis on following the rules was to make it clear that I have fallen short as well. I didn't want to make it seem like just because I've never fornicated, got drunk, or done drugs, that I don't need God's grace and forgiveness.

I know full well that one doesn't become a Christian by trying to keep the commandments. Such a person will fail every time. It is not through works that we are saved. It is in Jesus Christ that we are saved. Salvation is a gift.

Keep in God's word and in prayer, bro. We need all the strength we can get. I feel like marriage will never happen for me either. I'm pushing 29 and I've never had a girlfriend. The thought of dying alone without any family or kids of my own scares me. This is what is weighing on me the most. I have no desire to go drinking, partying, etc. But I really do want someone to share life with. I go everywhere and do most everything alone. It seems like it's equally difficult to find a girl in church as it is outside of church. There are certainly better, more spiritual, and eligible, single men than I and I'm not exactly someone a girl would choose over them. I have to keep pushing myself to get myself and my life together but there are times when everything seems hopeless and I get stuck in a rut.

I do know that if I do end up alone that at least I can put my hope in God. Even if in this life I live in loneliness, it will not compare to the glory and joy to be with God in Heaven.

At times like these you need to shift your focus away from yourself and what you want and towards living and serving Christ.

Galatians 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

If, God forbid, you get hit by Truck-kun and die tomorrow, you will have to account to God for how you spent your life, whether you were married or not. It's not easy, but you should live your life in light of that. And along the way who knows who/what God will bring into your life?

Psalm 37:4 - Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Matthew 6:33 - But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Psalm 84:11 - For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.

These are promises God Himself has made. The question is, do you believe Him?

Lastly, here are some Christian resources on singleness that you might like to listen to: https://illbehonest.com/topic/singleness Mason Vann's "Marriage and Gods Will For Young People" really struck a chord with me.

Hang in there!
