Another great episode. I was actually expecting Frieza to betray Gohan, but in the end that wasn't the case. Gohan sacrificing himself to take down Dyspo was cool.

Next episode Toppo will show of his God of Destruction-like power.

I love how they used the same Hit-dodging animation for frieza as well. Gets kinda lazy sometimes.

I'm not too upset about Gohan's performance here, at least they tried to make him seem serious... but it's a bit depressing that this is the last thing we'll see from him until the new Dragon Ball series whenever that comes... and knowing Toriyama I wouldn't be surprised if it starts with *another* "Gohan stopped training!" arc.

... it is a bit weird that Dyspo took up both Frieza and Gohan, and yet Toppo who's supposedly GoD levels will be managed by Frieza and 17?

The Gohan elimination wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad if they had just been consistent with Dyspo's strength from the beginning. Like if he had always been shown to be this strong it would look a hell of a lot better but they have had Dyspo look weak and incompetent at practically every turn. Now all of a sudden out of nowhere he's significantly stronger than what we've been shown until now purely to fit the narrative.

Yeah agreed, they've made Toppo out to be much more than they ever did Dyspo so that's the main thing that annoys me about the events

Although Dyspo *is* a much cooler character, I've never liked Toppo.

The only character left Id even consider saying is possibly better than Gohan is Vegeta though I still havent watched any of Super. My opinion of Goku and Frieza certainly isnt ever going to go up though even if I do. I dunno why Frieza gets all the spotlight. Hes honestly so shitty compared to Cell and Buu. Hell Id even say Nappa was a better villain

17 has always been a fan favorite and it's cool that he's getting some great screen time even though it's clear he's next on the chopping block.

That moment was a long time ago and Gohan got robbed of beating Buu too. Speaking of Buu theres another character who is getting robbed until the next season/series. Tien fans probably have it the worst though. I mean Super threw power levels away so that even non-Saiyans can matter only for it to turn out that anybody who isnt Goku or Vegeta still doesnt really matter :(

17 hasn't been treated as bad as Gohan tho man

Alright here's the thing.

Gohan got the happy life that comes with not being a warrior. He got his family. He doesn't HAVE to be the constantly fighting badass because Vegeta and Goku do that for him. They do it for everyone.

I would have indeed dropped the show, but Vegeta has gotten a LOT more moments of pure and utter disrespect than Gohan has and he came back from it a much better character.

I'd have been hyped as fuck for Gohan Blanco and all that too but it's just not who Gohan's character ended up being and I'm sorry for you guys.

I was thinking about this earlier today, how many new techniques have the existing characters got during Super?

Outside of new forms, only one's I could think of were Goku's Hakai and Evil Containment Wave, both of which were techniques he copied and Future Trunk's Spirit Sword.

I guess God Kamehameha, but that's just a stronger Kamehameha. I can't even think of a single new move Vegeta has developed and he used to come up with new moves all the time in Z.
