They are Noctis tier for her pre-7* abilities. (50% hightide at best.)

The only thing you care about Aileen is her imperil when you are not busting robots/golems if you are not going for an imbued TDH build.

Edit: On rare occasions petrification proof, but that is more to cover Zargabaath's butt. (I always forget she got that one.)

You did talk about her utilities like they meant something like DV's, which are still relevant outside their respective release windows. And continue to be so for the most part later on.

For Aileen the TDH won't have the same impact like for say Tidus due to no DAC even if it is nice to have in the future.

Aileen will do well with Artisan+Agaion's fist and any relevant boosters you can grab alongside a few Snow since earth is a rare targeted resistance. (And will still work well at 7* with innate DW since she can rearrange her load out a bit better. )

She won't be crap even with other units taking advantage of Ace, or when they get their own enhancements. But I do suggest waiting a bit working on her lb if you haven't already since it might not work as well as I hoped(Not all 4 hits connects) due to sparse useful information regarding her specific knacks.

I think the only chainer (or really, only non-support unit) that can match DV for utility is Tidus (maybe Fryevia, but that's kind of an apples and oranges thing since her utility isn't as much about the skillset as the number of different builds she can use).

I still have to finish Wilhelm for my limits, and then I was going to do Loren next. Would Aileen be a better bet than Loren for limits?

I know she's not the best, but I'm using Loren for the first time during the raid here. Really liking her so far!

Wait until they do tests on Reddit for Aileen's LB so you don't end up wasting the effort.

I would say Loren's LB is a safe bet for 7*. (And hightide helps it.)

At max:

AOE 15 Hit 750% Physical Attack With 50% Ignore DEF, AOE -79% Lightning/Wind Resist for For 3 Turns, Enables Access to Swiftwind Blade,Quickbolt Blade,Greased Lightning for 3 Turns.

Plus Loren is better with enhancements+7* than expected.

As for utility, honestly DV is the only physical dps putting any effort into it that isn't self-centered when I went over them now. Sure, we get stuff like the 100% water wall with Tidus(Please Gumi, no crappy 60% AoE stats...) and Queen's mana battery. Debuffs and imperils excluded. Which makes you wonder why Reagen went more dps.
