I nearly nominated Bloody Excrement simply because I love the title but I don't think it's in the running for best FFT battle theme

also fun fact I entered a spelling competition in high school and one of the words was antipyretic and I knew how to spell it because of that song

Okay finally listened. All three of these are top tier, so nice work. However, Trisection, Desert Battle, and Apoplexy might be better depending on my mood.

I like Ogre Battle (SNES) far more than is reasonable. Of course, 64 is the one that's a lot closer to the story-driven intrigues of FFT, but I always felt like that game was a lot clunkier than Ogre Battle. There's a beautiful elegance to the original as well as a ton of ways to play the game in a moderately degenerate fashion.

Sorry! One last delay. I have the spreadsheet ready and the list is finished; I've even written a solid number of the write-ups. But I've been absolutely swamped this weekend, and I'm looking forward to spending a couple of hours here on b8 tomorrow, relaxing.

I'll post the first 5 for both categories tomorrow and then we'll move at a clip of about 3 on each side 5-6 days a week from there.
