Why does the wife hate video games so much?
If you're in the house gaming then it means you're not womanizing or drinking at a bar.
If you're playing games you already own then you're not spending money, like you would be if you went out to dinner with a few friends.
If she needs you, you're able to pause the game, help her out, then keep playing.

Oh trust me, Ive brought all of this up. Shes better now than she used to be, but once in a while shell get annoyed over it. In the 10+ years weve been together, shes bought me three games, and only one that I kinda wanted.

Now, our 4-year-old is showing an interest in video games (loves DKC and Mega Man X) and it pisses her off lol
