Went to see The Last Jedi with friends just now. I walked out of it, not because it's bad (Hell, was only in it for 20 minutes) but because I was having an anxiety Attack. I was able to get the money back though.

You guys ever walk out of a movie? If so, why?

My boyfriend and I walked out of a movie once because he bought the tickets and he thought it was different movie. We had already seen the one he bought the tickets for a couple weeks before. So we got an exchange and saw a different movie instead.

He confused Don't Speak with Lights Out.

It was pretty good! If you like horror movies I recommend both the movies in my previous post. They aren't ground breaking or anything but they're pretty entertaining.

No, but I've fallen asleep during several and probably got a better use of my money for it. I was forced to walk out during a fire drill for one film and missed minutes of it, but I had gone with my brother who didn't feel like waiting for me to argue with a manager to get some kind of a refund for the inconvenience. (And, by the way, that argument would probably have been more exciting than the film.)

not really "walked out", but there was an ancient theater near my house where we tried to see Lost in Space. I guess their projector was in the middle of dying because they tried like 5 times to play the movie but they couldn't even kind of get the sound to sync. they eventually gave up and we all had to leave (with refunds and free movie passes). theater was permanently closed not long after.

and lol, googling to see what year that would have been "lost in space release date", I wondered if it would occur that they are making another one and I'd get the upcoming instead of previous release date. yup. (looks like its a Netflix TV series starting next year).

Yeah its no big deal for asking.

Honestly if it had been like 10 or 15 decibels quieter it wouldnt have been a problem. But he used stuff for the sound, like ticking clocks specifically to make it tense, from what I read. So the director nailed that part.

There was the time me, my sister, and my cousin went to see Beat Street many years ago - the projector went on the fritz and we had to leave. Probably the closest experience to walking out.

That aside, I almost walked out of Higher Learning. Movie itself wasn't bad, it just wasn't exactly my cup of tea. If I didn't have to write an essay about it in one of my university courses, I probably wouldn't have bothered to go.

No. There was 1 movie I wanted to walk out of (Watchmen) but my friends drove me so I wouldn't have a ride home.

I've recently been much more picky with what I choose to watch in the theatre so usually everything that I watch is interesting enough for me to see it through to the end. The last one I didn't enjoy (so I just napped through the middle parts) was Rogue One.

Only the once that I remember but I can't recall the film. It was just so bad. Normally I stick it out with a film though as I've paid for it but at that point I really didn't care.

On a side note: I've never had panic attacks while out. I've actually only ever had two of them and both times I was at home thankfully. I still get the symptoms of anxiety on a daily bases and more or less constantly but I ride the storm otherwise I'd never do anything. I'm aware different folk have different types of anxiety and how mild or bad it can be though. Stay strong man.

You do know there is more to horror than just a jump scare, right? The Witch is full of suspense ala The Shining, which to me is far more important that cheap in your face crap that every movie these days tries to do.

I do agree with you about how terrible the Paranormal Activity movies are. There is no suspense, tension, or anything in them.

Well I didnt see the entire movie but in just the first half hour or so

He brutally snaps a fat womans neck several times while she screams, he shoves a pencil into his bloody broken nose to snap it back into place, he watches the villain slowly get ripped up by a glass recycling machine, an orderly at the mental hospital walks down the hall with a freaking boner for some reason, and then the psycho brother character eats through the boner orderly to get his applesauce back

Im not even the kind of person to be bothered by violence in films but in that movie it is all just crude and nasty and over the top in a way that just is not very fun.

Never. I only venture to the theaters if I know a film is worth my time, even if it turns out to not be that good.

I even sat through that entire god-awful Dragonball movie (to be fair, I had theater hoped with friends). I might have walked out on Green Lantern, since I didn't want to see it, and was only there before my work had free tickets, so everyone went. Didn't want to walk out of a work-sponsored event, though.

My g/f and I go to the movies almost every weekend, especially in the summer. In fact, from Wonder through It, we saw a movie every weekend.

It also doesn't help that I'm a teacher, so I may be bombarded with spoilers for kids come Monday morning if I didn't see a certain movie over the weekend.
