I also prefer Auctioneer over Lyra cause it gets you closer to your combo over random Priest spells but its probably personal preference

Mage is probably the fourth most common class right now, just behind Priest/Warlock/Rogue

Definitely think Paladin is gonna surge in play though. That class is so nuts right now

Vicious Syndicate Data Reaper is out.

Priest is at approximately a 25% playrate, but Aggro (and Murloc) Paladin have by far the best win-rate at 56%. Interesting to see Dragon Priest as the best performing deck of the class from Rank 5 to Legend. That's something I could craft with only a 1500 dust investment.

Control Warlock is only at a 50% win-rate, but that's about in line with what Renolock was and it's likely due to the difficulty of play.

Blizzard is giving 3 free packs to all players in early January because of the daily issue quest.

I'll take it, considering I've managed to still get a quest every day (although sometimes I've had to log in and out of my computer, tablet, and phone to get them to appear).

I was so excited to try out the Spiteful Summoner and Grand Archivist shenanigans in Priest, but I haven't drawn either of them through ten games.

I actually had to go into my collection and make sure Summoner was actually in my deck because I hadn't even seen it pre-mulligan.

I'm having fun with the deck though even with mediocre results so far, which may or may not be related to the above issue. My favourite time in Hearthstone was during the Renolock and Dragon Priest meta, so I'm getting flashes of that here.

I also built Aggro Paladin with my remaining dust and it seems pretty good.

Don Hancho -> Dopplegangster with double battlecry is hilarious and won multiple games despite me only having one of each.

Just casually drop 60 power into play with one card.

I pulled a legendary from them too. I got the warlock lifesteal discard thing

I was 7-12 with Dragon Priest, stuck at rank 5 zero stars, constantly losing to Rogue, and wondering what I was doing wrong. Then this happened:

I don't think I've ever gone on a run like that before. Every RNG moment went in my favour, and my draws were always good. There was one game where I was 100% dead next turn, and then I got a Doomguard off of a Glimmerroot for lethal. I even managed to beat a Rogue!

Priest should honestly be favored versus rogue. At least based on my experience.

Secret mage though is petty much a hard counter.

Oh youre playing dragon. Idk I still feel you should be favored over rogue.

Right now there are Two decks that use it secret mage and non quest otk and most players have moved away from the weapon version because it forced them to run too many non impactful cards.

I'm doing slightly better against Rogues. The games are usually competitive and it comes down to who draws better most of the time, still under 50% there though.

Secret Mage I think I'm 1-6 against with this deck. It's rarely ever close.

Every combination of To my Side has a 1/3 chance of happening because each of them can only appear in two different combinations meaning there are 6 total combinations (with three of them just being dupes). So it's just (1/3)^4 or 0.01234%

Also had a match versus a jade druid and like I stalled him out til the end and waited until he was kinda low and dropped lyra/radiant after he double swiped on my velen.

So I queue up again and it's the same druid but this time he put in earthern scales (were not in his deck before, because I saw his entire deck) and now he's just gaining armor like crazy. Like at one point he had maybe 80 total health. In any case his jades are getting pretty big but I had sheep all, psychic scream, etc and I'm like waiting for him to commit. I'm forced to play lyra and radiant a little earlier than I wanted to and cast some spells and I get Thought Steal AND Devour Mind. So the thought steal gives me a jade idol AND Fandral. I shuffle in the idol for another spell though and just wait.

Skip forward a lot of turns and finally I can devour mind and I grab 3 more jade idols. Next turn I clear and the turn after I drop fandral and just spam jade idols. THe druid had absolutely no way to kill it either so it lived for 2 turns and I still had Velen. Oh, I still had psychic scream too. The druid eventually conceded. Honestly, I think it was possible for him to win (although unlikely).

Ehhh now that I think of it. Considering the cards the druid had left I do think I was 100% to win unless I really fucked up big time.

Out-jading a druid, or at least using their idols against them, is curiously satisfying. I had a deck last meta that did that a couple times when I was first playing around with Devour Mind.

Cubelock definitely seems like the deck of the set pretty much, even if it's not the strongest one it's the one that was built almost entirely from this set, which is pretty cool (Still have a long way to go to build one haha)

Biggest dud is clearly shaman, it's board centric and can't really keep up with Razakus/Control Warlock's many board clears

I played DemonZoo to 5 earlier pretty easily, I made a few changes, basically just cut a few more of those non demon cards for demonfires and such and I think it made a big difference. I faced like 5 cubelocks and won against all of them

Oh if you want a good like indicator of how bad most hs players are just read a twitch chat during a high profile game. Last night purple (I think ) didnt play a free explosive rune vs a warlock into turn 5 to play around lackey. The chat all thought it was a misplay because chat is like rank 26

Ironically though I do think he was in a poor enough position where he had to play the secret if he wanted to win because he drew poorly in all his games too. So chat was right in that he should of played the secret but not for the correct reasoning.

I decided Christmas was the day I was going to start saving for the next expansion. I had planned on doing it a couple of days ago since there really isn't a whole lot from Kobolds that I'm interested in getting at this point outside of Togwaggle, but decided to try and get one more legendary. Finished my quests today and got my last pack for this expansion, at least from gold, and picked up Kathrena. Yay for a possibly, eventually playable legendary? At the very least yay for getting any legendary.

I'm having an absurd arena run. I've summoned Y'Sarj from playing Ultimate Infestation after Medivh three times now.

also my deck has three Ultimate Infestations. I almost had to do some mutually assured destruction by UIing my opponent and fatiguing myself to death in one match, but managed to win on the last possible turn.
